The level has been a part of my collection which I now have to break up. It is a gem: the contrast between the Mahogany and brass is beautiful. Perfectly useable but a great collectible. There are minor dings and scratches but otherwise the level is in very good condition for a 100+ year old tool that was used. The Mahogany has no chips, cracks or stains. Brass has no damage other than minor scratches. The 2 vials are original, working and accurate; slightly dirty. There are no repairs or replacements! Length is 18 inches. C 1800 Mitchell & Mott New York Inlaid Mahogany Tall Case Grandfather Clock

Mitchell & Mott New York Inlaid Mahogany Tall Case Clock C. Mitchell & Mott Federal Mahogany Tall Case Clock. Henry Mitchell was in partnership with Jordan Mott at work in New York City at 27 Pearl Street Circa 1790 – 1809. This magnificent example stands 98 1/2″ Tall, 21 1/4″ wide and 10 1/2 deep. Early period tall case clocks from New York City are extremely rare and hard to find, so this represents an opportunity to acquire an original signed example. The “High Style” inlaid mahogany case has wonderful wood selection, contrasting satinwood string inlay, inlaid rosettes, and geometric inlaid capitals. Turned mahogany quarter columns flank the waist section of the case. The shaped waist door has a shaped arched top and wonderful oval inlay. The door lock is original, functions and comes with a key. The glass in the bonnet is original. The clock descended in the Hageman family of Montclair NJ and other than the appropriate bench made restored bracket feet, it is completely original. When we acquired the clock there was chipping in the dial at the dial posts and the posts were attached with screws. We had the dial touched up at the 4 dial posts and reset the dial feet. The movement is complete and in an excellent state of preservation. There are no replacements or solder repairs to the works. The clock runs and strikes just fine. The case has a delightful warm patina and the stepped molded base terminates on ogee bracket feet. The eight day works are typical of what you find in this area and are coupled to an early painted iron dial of English origin which is characteristic of the early clocks made in New York. RARE! BIG! Antique 19th C Solid Mahogany Traveling Lap Desk Writing Box With Key

For sale is a RARE! Antique 19th C Solid Mahogany Traveling Lap Desk box with green felt Writing Slope. It is amazingly complete with all its inner compartment lids and comes with The original skeleton Key. There are a little ink stain in the paper storage compartment but nothing serious. It had all the brass corners and center decorative piece. However there are some dents and vents to the bottom corners, with some old repairs. The top surface has beautiful mahogany wood grain, by checking under the writing surface, I confirm that the surface is not veneer but solid mahogany, which would indicate this writing box is a high class piece at the time it was made. There are two old crack repairs done to the top of the box. It is no longer cracked but you can see the seam. There are five small compartments that suppose to store pens, ink bottles, etc. All the lids are there. There are some nicks on three of the lids tiny handles commensurate with age. The green felt writing slope is so clean! Is it ever used? The compartment under the writing surface has a hole. I think that is because many of these writing desk has hidden compartments. One of the owners I history probably wonder whether there are some treasures hidden underneath. The side of the box also has a brass handled side drawer, which is dovetailed in construction. The bottom board of the box looks really old, also has old nails in it. There is an original key. But it does not seem to function properly. I cannot get it to turn. Maybe it is broken, but maybe it just needs some oil and messing around. Since it closes properly without the key, I dont want to try too hard. It measures 20 by 11 at the top and 7 tall. I love this box. I would not let it go if you are not willing to pay for its full value. The item “RARE! BIG! This rare majestic bird cage is 27long, 9wide (not including porch) and 35 high. It has two entrances; one from the front door and one from her back wall. There is a slot at the bottom to remove waste. There are a few blemishes. There is a broken but still intact piece in the back wall (please see photo 11) and a slight crack still intact on top porch. This has a Fancy Brass Dial with Etched Designs and a Silver Metal Numeral Ring, Signed “Junghans Germany”. Antique Beautiful English Mahogany Liquor Decanter Tantalus 18x12x13. The mahogany is nice although there are a few minor marks and scratches on it due to its age. Inside, the tantalus is lined with green velvet. Inside, there are 6 decanters: one is broken at the neck and a second has a hairline crack see images. There are two sets of two glasses also in the set. The tantalus locks , the key is present. Tantalus is 18.25″ x 11.75″ x 13.5. Thank You for your business.
