Beautiful Pair of Antique Royal Bonn Ewers. Royal Bonn was the trade name of Franz Anton Mehlem who was in business between 1836 & 1931. Lovely floral design with moriage. The stamps on the underside date the pair to between 1890 & 1920. They are also marked with the number 2869. There is a slight difference in the heights with one ewer being just under 11 while the second one is just over. Large Antique Royal Dux Czechoslovakia Cockatoo 15.5inches tall. Massive Royal Dux Cockatoo made in Czechoslovakia in the 1920’s or 1930’s. He stands 15.5 inches tall and is very impressive in white with pink tints. He is in lovely condition no damage at all not even any crazing. C 1800 Mitchell & Mott New York Inlaid Mahogany Tall Case Grandfather Clock

Mitchell & Mott New York Inlaid Mahogany Tall Case Clock C. Mitchell & Mott Federal Mahogany Tall Case Clock. Henry Mitchell was in partnership with Jordan Mott at work in New York City at 27 Pearl Street Circa 1790 – 1809. This magnificent example stands 98 1/2″ Tall, 21 1/4″ wide and 10 1/2 deep. Early period tall case clocks from New York City are extremely rare and hard to find, so this represents an opportunity to acquire an original signed example. The “High Style” inlaid mahogany case has wonderful wood selection, contrasting satinwood string inlay, inlaid rosettes, and geometric inlaid capitals. Turned mahogany quarter columns flank the waist section of the case. The shaped waist door has a shaped arched top and wonderful oval inlay. The door lock is original, functions and comes with a key. The glass in the bonnet is original. The clock descended in the Hageman family of Montclair NJ and other than the appropriate bench made restored bracket feet, it is completely original. When we acquired the clock there was chipping in the dial at the dial posts and the posts were attached with screws. We had the dial touched up at the 4 dial posts and reset the dial feet. The movement is complete and in an excellent state of preservation. There are no replacements or solder repairs to the works. The clock runs and strikes just fine. The case has a delightful warm patina and the stepped molded base terminates on ogee bracket feet. The eight day works are typical of what you find in this area and are coupled to an early painted iron dial of English origin which is characteristic of the early clocks made in New York. Antique English Tall Case Grandfather clock C. 1740, James Webster

The unusual, dark chip-carved oak case is stylistically a bit of a holdover from the previous century. The case has more of a 17th century look, not only by material and decoration but because of the slim waist and comparatively narrow hood and face. The working eight-day weight-driven movement is original to the case and strikes a bell on the hour. There is a functional calendar dial and a seconds bit as well. Fortunately the lovely old case still retains the rich black patina that only a couple hundred years can impart. An interesting unmodified transitional element is the curious carved crown treatment on the hood which seems to foreshadow the “broken arch” pediment which started appearing about 1750. This fine grandfather clock measures 7’9″ tall and is 20″ wide at the hood. Just big enough to be authoritative but not imposing. It will fit in a modern 8′ ceiling house without any alterations. The movement has been recently overhauled and it keeps good time on one winding a week. Antique 1827 Grandfather Clock Moon Dial Face Longcase British Flag 1800’s Tall

I almost never grow an attachment to “things”. But this one is hard to give up. Before I go into the details. I want prospective buyers to know that I have more photos and can take more photos. This clock is AMAZING. I think this shows all of the expertise and quality of a piece crafted in 1827. There is a note on inside door that says clock made or repaired by R. Cashell Aug 14, 1827. There are also handwritten notes on the inside door that document the 1827 date. But please “judge” this by the construction and quality of the piece. The pendulum is detached from the clock. This will need repaired. I don’t know if this is a working clock. There were about 15 antique clocks for sale at that time. I just did not want to start turning things and mess something up. But if you know what I should move… Just let me know and I can pass that info to you. I would feel comfortable in assuming that someone took very good care of this. There is glass on all 3 sides of the top pieces. The glass has that “wavy glass” quality. Top brass finial is removable. The Weights are very unique. They weigh about 10 pounds each and are filled with some type of sand. Exterior of weight is some type of metal that has been crimped closed at top. Brass or bronze I would think. The moon face is so awesome. There is a scratch line running through some of the paint as you can see in photos. Don’t think this will be too hard to touch up as the scratch does not go through the moon face/eyes. Top portion has a wood inlay decorative oval. This top portion looks like it may have been repaired. See line in photo # 8. Repair looks professional to me and very good. I don’t have a key for the door. And Door Closes slightly askew. There is a “facade” (outer wood covering) of one of the legs that needs tacked back into position. See photo number 10. Height is 86.5″ without finial and 92″ including finial. Width is 20.25. Depth is 12.25. Please read my feedback and you will see that you have no worries.
