The Dan, or more precisely the Danwopeumin “those who speak Dan” are a West African people living mainly in the center-west of Côte d’Ivoire, near the cities of Man, Danané, Biankouma, Zouan – Hounien, Sipilou. This mask named (gunyega) is a male mask which differs from the female mask (deangle) by its eyes which are round and perforated. It intervenes during foot races between young initiated people. ONE OF THE FIRST ALUMINUM BIKES MADE! HAWTHORNE’S VERSION OF THE SILVER KING. THIS BIKE HAS AN AWSOME LOOK AND IS VERY HARD TO FIND. THIS WOULD MAKE FOR AN EXCELLENT RESTO PROJECT. THIS FRAME IS IN GOOD SHAPE. NO REPAIRS OR WELDING HAVE BEEN DONE ON IT. HAS THE LARGE CAST ALUMINUM FORKS WITH THE LARGE DIAMETER ALUMINUM TRUSS RODS. THE BIKE DOES SHOW WEAR THROUGHOUT FROM THE YEARS INCLUDING RUST, SCUFFS, SCRATCHES ETC. THE BOLT THAT HOLDS THE FRONT FENDER TO THE FORK IS SNAPPED. PLEASE SEE PHOTOS FOR WHAT YOU WILL RECEIVE. First Batch Singer 30k Antique Sewing Machine c. 1912 Complete with Cast Iron Base
Very good example of the famed Singer 30k chain stitch sewing machine c. 1912, fully cleaned and serviced with original cast iron base. Has had 65/75 parts disassembled, checked and machine polished before reassembly. As far as I’m aware every single part is present, correct and original, every part and individual screw is free and easy. Currently waiting for new needles to arrive for the final test and timing adjustment, will be supplied with five new needles. It does have some evidence of light crazing and the usual chips, mostly around the base. My personal method is to seal the body with Carnauba and Montan waxes, with a simple black marker pen used to colour any bare metal chips prior to waxing. This provides a good result for display purposes but is easily removeable without any adverse affects. This machine has had 17 hours of work, 53 cotton balls, 29 Dremel brushes, 40+ ear buds and only the correct solvents used to bring it to it’s present condition, although I have left some evidence of tarnishing just to provide some evidence of it’s age. I do not use water, oil, detergents or (god forbid) WD40 in the restoration of any of my machines. Rare Antique Monstrance reliquary St Mark the Evangelist Apostle First Relic
Beautiful and rare antique french religious monstrance reliquary, from 19thc. Napoleon III era, made of gilded brass, open work, with clear, green and pink rhinestones, ornate with graceful ornaments: foliages and arabesques, containing a reliquary from the end of 18Thc, made of brass silver plated, with a first relic of St Mark the Evangelist. Wax seal and red threads are intact. Condition: It is in a very nice antique condition, see photos. Diameter of the base 2 5/16, 74 mm. Reliquary : 1 3/4″ x 1 5/16″, 41 mm x 34 mm.
