Antique Ww2 Swiss Rolex 40’s Military Pocket Watch Back Up Chronometer Serviced
ANOTHER SUPERB AND EXTREMELY RARE ROLEX MILITARY WATCH FIND FROM ANTIQUETIMEONLINE! A BEAUTIFUL EARLY 1940’S ROLEX MILITARY ISSUE RARER WHITE DIAL POCKET WATCH IN BEAUTIFUL ORIGINAL CONDITION. THIS TYPE OF ROLEX WATCH WAS USED BY THE BRITISH MILITARY AS A BACK UP TO A CHRONOMETER AND WOULD HAVE FITTED INTO A HOLDER. A WATCH FOR THE COLLECTOR, OR THE ROLEX ENTHUSIAST. This is a nice original chromed two piece screw back and bezel watch case. The back of the case is numbered B1299 on the case back and has its matching number on the bottom of the case. It has the military broad arrow marking for a British Military timepiece which is partly worn. The case is in good original field worn condition showing some light wear to parts of the case and a few dings and scratches that I can see (see pics). The inside of the case back is fully marked for the Rolex watch company. The outside of the case back has some normal wear and tear from service usage and a NOTICEABLE mark where an opening tool has been used BADLY. The watch measures 5.2cms (52mm) In diameter, excluding the crown. This is a stunning and beautiful QUALITY original ROLEX military watch case. This is an absolutely lovely, and most importantly totally original fully signed white dial. I can see no hairlines or other damage. The sub second dial has a light patina and is slightly darker than the rest of the dial. The dial is FULLY signed “ROLEX” in black painted lettering and’Swiss Made’ on the bottom of the dial. It has painted Arabic and numerals bordered by a black minute track which is in good original condition. The beautiful steel’spade’ style contemporary minute, hour and minute hands are in excellent condition. This is a really lovely dial in excellent original condition. The crystal is new and as such is in excellent condition. This is a beautiful and absolutely genuine ROLEX FULLY SIGNED AND NUMBERED HI GRADE cal 548 15 jewel manual wind movement. It has a beautiful finish and is FULLY signed on the top plate in a beautiful typesetting, showing its true ROLEX roots. The watch winds smoothly and sets with ease. It is in full running condition and has nice quiet operation and has just been FULLY SERVICED by my watchmaker. The watch is keeping good time as tested over a 12 hour period. The stainless original crown looks genuine to the watch, and is in excellent condition showing slight normal wear. The crown has a later chain ring added as this type of ROLEX watch did not have one as it was fitted into a holder. THIS IS A FABULOUS AND RARE MILITARY ISSUE ROLEX TIMEPIECE. IF YOU ARE AN ENTHUSIAST OR COLLECTOR YOU WOULD BE MAD TO MISS THIS HOROLOGICAL BEAUTY. There is NO exception. I have described all of my items to the best of my knowledge. Please remember that vintage watches have survived for many decades by being treated well. Vintage watches are not for wearing while doing yard work, working out, or swimming. Vintage watches cannot keep time like their quartz cousins and will need altering on average between +-2 to +-5 mins per day. They are a little more destructible than modern watches. Vintage watches also require periodic service and cleaning. Every couple of years, they would like their 20,000 mile checkup, oil change, and general service. By taking care of your vintage watch, you will have years of great service, and a quality heirloom to pass to another generation. Professionally Restored Antique Telephone with Rotary Dial / Mod Back 554- PINK
Stromberg Carlson with Western Electric Base 554 – Pink. This is a NOS Stromberg Carlson model 554 case. It is quite rare to find a pink 554 in this good of condition, especially the base and internal parts. Dial The dial has been fully disassembled, cleaned, lubed and timed to ensure years of trouble free service. The number plate has been cleaned and hand polished. A brand fingerwheel and die cut dial card have been added as well. If you require a traditional line cord, please let me know in the comments. Shell The shell was slightly discolored due to age, so we put it through our multi-step restoration process which includes sanding with 400, 800, 1000, 2000 grit. This ensures that there are no scratches, dents or dings. The shell is them carefully buffed on our two step buffing wheels. This takes out the fine abrasions left by sanding and leaves the plastic with a smooth factory fresh finish. Finally we apply a three step plastic restoration compound. This leaves the plastic with a beautiful high gloss finish. Handset Handset has been sanded with the same process as the shell and buffed back to its beautiful original shine. Old Antique High Back Loop Seat Cowgirl Horse Saddle by Victor Marden
This is a really rare Cowgirl Saddle made by Victor Marden of the Dalles, Ore. It was made between 1900–1915 when he had his business in the Dalles. Seat–see photo–the skirt length is 23 in. Loop seat style and padded seat area–5-1/2 in. High cantle–lace up stirrup leathers that even look original. It has a scraped repaired horn–the rawhide binding on pommel and cantle are worn in places. I would say it has original stirrups as the leather tread is worn through to the wood that also shows wear–keep in mind this saddle is 100 plus years old and has had use so you will see wear and possibly something I did not find that important to list. It has a solid rawhide covered tree and sheepskin is pretty much gone. Strings look to have been replaced at some point in time–the leather is clean and supple. If you are a collector of cowgirl or early saddles this is for sure a really nice cowgirl collectible.
