This Jar is complete with original wire closure and correct, color-matched 3-Date Lid. Blown in an attractive shade of Pale Yellow with Olive Green undertones. This Keeper absolutely GLOWS on a sill and will not disappoint! Marked PUTNAM 301 on base. Condition : Theres a very faint crows foot or annealing check noted on the left side, mid-body (see close-ups, photos #6 & #11) otherwise Excellent with exceptional, rare color and strong embossing. Factory-ground lip with typical roughness and one shallow flake, as shown (photo #12). Moderate oxidation noted on the metal components. Tremendous character with surface whittle and air inclusions (large & small) throughout. See photos for complete details and close-ups. Please consider them as part of the description. Antique Seth Thomas Wind Up Mantel Clock Adamantine Time Lion 4 Column WORKING. This old Seth Thomas clock is from the 1880s and is in all around good condition. It is still very accurate at keeping time and has chimes that play on the half hour and hour. There are 3 different wind up spots; time, chime, and fine tuning the pendulum. It comes with the key, though it might not be the original. The glass in the front is in great condition with no chips or scratches. There is a small bit of damage on the top of the clock, some scratches and the right front leg has a missing piece. There appear to be a few screws that have been replaced on the front clock face to more modern screws. All can be seen in the pictures. The marble is faux marble on the top, the pillars, and the detailing around the pillars. The dimensions of the clock are 16 inches long, 7 inches wide and 12 inches tall. This is a very rare survivor as it is a JUNIOR Penny Farthing Type HIGH WHEELER. It’s not a little bike – just not the huge size generally thought of in this style. The front wheel is 36 inches tall so it’s about 3/5ths size. Seat has been recovered with black leather. The bike was repainted long ago with Black Lacquer. Not sure of date of manufacture but castings and parts look to be late 19th century. Cab Rubber Tires and Cone’s instead of bearings indicate the age. This bike takes some skill at first to get up and going but the bike works fine. It’s up to you. Use it in your act or decorate your loft or business space. It’s Cool and priced for you. Not sure of the brand as the badge was removed for painting over 30 years ago, then misplaced. This bike hung on the wall of a bicycle shop for over 45 years. Now it’s time to have a new owner. HERE IS A BEAUTIFUL VICTORIAN 1880’S HANGING CRANBERRY HOBNAIL COPPER & BRASS KEROSENE OIL LAMP. THE LAMP IS IN GREAT CONDITION WITH NO BROKEN TRIM AND VERY NICE GLASS SHADES!! THE LAMP HAS A BEAUTIFUL DETAILED OF ORNATE DRAGONS AND SCROLLING DESIGN THROUGH OUT!! THE HANGING LADDER CHAINS & COPPER SPREADERS LOOK TO BE ORIGINAL AND ARE IN GREAT CONDITION!! I ALSO NOTICED ONE SIDE HAS A SMALL KNOB ON THE CENTER SHADE RING AND THE OTHER SIDE JUST HAS A BRASS SCREW. Here’s a very rare deep amethyst or purple early hand blown glass huge demijohn bottle with its original wicker covering. I’m guessing it holds 3 gallons, but I’m not sure. We cut the bottom half of the wicker so that we could show the beautiful purple color of the glass. The wicker bottom can be put back in place so that the demijohn can be displayed with or without it. This fantastic big kidney shaped demijohn was used in the 1800s to hold wine, home brew liquors or water. It is hand blown in mold, bimal….. Applied big tapered collar…… 17 1/2″tall x about 14″across widest point….. Beautiful amethyst or purple color…… Excellent condition with no chips, cracks or damage of any kind. Some old content stain inside which would clean out, but we are leaving it as found. The wicker covering has a pair of handles which are real nice. Like I said, we cut the wicker above the handles so that it could be removed, but it can be put back in place. Other than that, the wicker covering is in good condition… Tight around the neck and bottom. We guarantee this awesome hand blown demijohn is authentic antique from the 1800s….. The beautiful amethyst or purple color of this glass is a result of the presence of manganese in the glass, which was a decolorizer to turn the glass clear. Glass that contains manganese, when exposed to ultraviolet rays of the sun or other sources of UV rays, causes the glass to turn amethyst. Some of my amethyst bottles and glass are purpled from years of exposure to natural sunlight. Others have been purpled with the use of strong UV lights in a boxand some have been purpled by running them through a water sterilization plant, which is a safe and permanent process which does the same thing as many years of exposure to natural sunlight, except much faster. To those “purists” who falsely believe that glass cannot turn this deep amethyst color naturally, I could take you to places where bottles and glass have turned this same shade of purple from being in the sunlight for many years. This is a very rare survivor as it is a JUNIOR Penny Farthing Type HIGH WHEELER. It’s not a little bike – just not the huge size generally thought of in this style. The front wheel is 36 inches tall so it’s about 3/5ths size. Seat has been recovered with black leather. The bike was repainted long ago with Black Lacquer. This bike takes some skill at first to get up and going but the bike works fine. It’s up to you. Use it in your act or decorate your loft or business space. It’s Cool and priced for you. Not sure of the brand as the badge was removed for painting over 30 years ago, then misplaced. This bike hung on the wall of a bicycle shop for over 35 years. Now it’s time to have a new owner.
