The cast brass surface exhibits a deep, untouched recessed oxidation and an authentic golden-brown patina that highlights the hand-chiseled details. The hilt retains both individual inlaid red and green faux-stone cabochons comfortably in place. Note: Reflecting its history as a cherished domestic display piece, there is a historic, period-correct lead or tin-based solder stabilization repair across an old crack on the reverse lower curve of the scabbard. This stable, old repair did not penetrate to the front show side, leaving the primary display presentation entirely unaffected for mantle or cabinet exhibition.
