Antique 18th Cen British Pattern 1796 Steel Officers Dress Small Sword
A shortened British Pattern 1796 small sword, having a 64 cm flattened single fullered blade with a brass hilt with a silver-wired grip and D shaped knuckle bow, 80 cm in total. Blade is etched with owner’s initials and has a “G” maker mark on the ricasso. Brass guard and a knuckle bow has a slight movement, upper quillon is missing. Blade is stained and pitted but nothing major considering age of this piece. Length of the blade with handle: 80.2 cm (31 3/4). Length of the blade without handle: 64.5 cm (25 1/3). 38 Star Antique Vintage American Flag with Medallion Pattern. Capitol Flown
Size: 104 x 175. Flag retains its original rope and metal rings for flying. Star field has minimal wear. There is an area of fabric loss within the center star roughly. Mild staining on the top stripe. Info: Previous owner’s. Grandmother was Lita Harrington Beck, her Uncle was John W. John left the flag to Lita. She left the flag to his Father George H. Beck who in-turn left it to him. As the family story went – John Wesley Digger was either the Governor or Lt. Governor of Pennsylvania, and flag was flown over the State Capitol Building. The pattern on this flag is gorgeous. Very helpful sources have told me the flag may likely have been made by the Loanes company out of Baltimore. Antique Regal Iris Pattern Gone With The Wind Oil Lamp Ruby Red- Electrified
Looks like it is a conversion. Some very tiny chipping around the base of the top shade where it sits into the lamp but all is not visible when put together. I think it is a three way switch or at least a 2 way. All the metal is brass including a ring around the top of the shade. The base does not light up but would not be hard to add that conversion. Comes with a tall chimney too. 26″ tall not including chimney, top shade is 35″ around. There are a few tiny specks of white paint here and there, looks like someone was painting their house with a roller. I managed to get most off but you might see a pin head size or smaller speck here and there. Red glass is a satin finish with the emobossed flowers being clear or almost clear. Antique Arts & Crafts Nouveau Handel Era Reverse Pattern Slag Glass Lamp Repair
Great size on this slag glass lamp with bronze patina. 24 inches tall x 21 inch wide shade. Slag shades have a textured surface with a reverse painted/printed pattern – which is very unusual. Great color and design. Base is in good condition, we suggest rewiring. Clips that hold the shades in place are missing on most spaces, so when photographed we used tape to hold panels in place. There’s are also two breaks in the outer shade rim, see photos. It is still structurally sound because it is s very well made shade. There is a (original to the piece)thick wire welded to the outer underside rim of the shade for support. There is tape residue on the underside of shades that should be removed. We photographed the lamps underside with the blue tape I used to hold the shades in place for the photograph. See partial pic of blue tape. Fine detail from the base to the rim of the shade with the curly wave like design… The finial is also interesting, like an urn.
