Some excellent quality bracket clocks please keep your eyes open over the next few months. Beautiful arched top designed case with stunning patina and colour to the wonderful walnut. Brass fretwork side panels with red silk behind them. The case is made of walnut which gives this absolutely amazing display finish and makes it stand out. The clock has a simple case design but is still very impressive to look at on display. Working locks and keys to glazed front door and to the back door which has a matching brass fret panel. Case is in excellent original condition for age and looks stunning on display with good patina. Silvered arched dial with engraved decoration to the corners. Roman numerals & original hands. To the arch their are 2 subsiduary dials, one is for fine regulation adjustment and the other is for the choice of silent/chime. Dial is in excellent original condition and looks fantastic. English 8 day triple fusee chain driven musical chime 8/4 bell 1/4 chiming movement. 1/4 Chiming 8 bell musical chime every quarter of an hour with hourly gong strike on the hour after the musical chimes has finished. Chain driven triple fusee with silent/chime feature to silence chimes. Original Pendulum and a new brass winding key. Extremely high quality has can be expected. Movement is in full working order keeping good time and chiming the 1/4s as it should on 8 bells. Victorian, mid – 19th century. The clock has beautiful proportions and measures 19.5 inches high x 14.5 inches wide x 9 inches deep. This is a perfect investment clock and a beautiful display piece. Looks absolutely fantastic wherever it is displayed and a true talking point of any room. Exceptional clock which will only grow in value and one of the best ones i have ever had the pleasure to offer for sale and you wont find one quite like this for a while. FUNCTION: time with half hour and hour chime. SIZE: 16″H x 10.5″W x 8-3/4D. ORIGIN: Made in China. CONDITION: This clock is currently in working order. We are here to help. REMARK: beautiful mother of pearl inlaid rosewood case, with pierced calabash and vein carvings. Time shows on a nice condition porcelain dial, surrounded by hand engraved brass frame. Antique Signed A. Harris & Co Tole painted Fusee wall clock

1830 tole painted banjo shaped wall clock, housing an imported time only, fusee movement, of high quality, with a porcelain dial signed by the retailer, A. Harris & Co, of Philadelphia. An early clockmaker listing in a 1958 copy of American Clocks and Clockmakers, by Charles Dreppard describes what could be this clock. I always assumed that Harris & Co imported movements to be cased in a fashionable case that would be popular with customers of the time – just my guess. Dial is 5 diameter (couple of filled in porcelain repairs). Total case length about 21 top to bottom…. Bottom pediment and ball appear to be wood, rest of case tin and metal. Clock runs for a week andkeeps good time. An interesting clock I have owned for 25 years, time to let it go. A heavy clock, for it’s size…. The item “Antique Signed A.
