Dimensions: 16 inches wide, 36 inches tall, 5 1/2 inches deep. Clock is currently installed and is in good running condition. This is an 8 day clock comes with a key. 1879 SETH THOMAS WEIGHT DRIVEN NO. 2 REGULATOR WALL CLOCK, runs excl, walnut

Rare early Seth Thomas regulator with seconds hand. Running and keeping excellent time. The Seth number 2 was an accurate time keeper and the railroad used them in their system showing the correct time to the many travelers passing through the train stations. Original glass [dial glass is wavy and has a couple of cool bubbles]. Dial was redone at some point, as well as some bushings. The large square weight is hidden behind a drop down [sliding up and down] thin board. Runs 8 days on a wind. The hands, dial, pendulum and movement have been removed for packing. The square weight is not original and has the weight of 7 lbs. Plus the date of manufacture [1967] stamped in it. This chart if from a Seth Thomas regulator identification guide. Front pendulum/rear weight used until 1879. Seconds bit first used in 1879. Base shape = pre-1880. Bowtie below dial = pre-1890. Please remember that its an old clock but in very good condition. Its a antique wall clock and little damages or old wormholes normal….. Antique clocks are not new clocks! Nevertheless there could be a little difference in color depending on your screen settings and tiny scratches in surface. Ansonia Antique Hanging Model Double Weight Wall Clock. Here is a NEW stunning’Antique Hanging’ model double weight wall clock. The entire clock case and the finials are made of solid oak. The all SOLID brass casting decoration on the whole clock body is just breath taking. The time shows on 12 individual porcelain numerals. This clock is driven by double weight and it has an 8 day Ansonia brass movement with half hour and hour striking.
