Antique Fraktur SET Pennsylvania Dutch Certificate 2x + 1 Artwork READ 1860s

This listing is for an antique SET of Pennsylvania Dutch Frakturs, from the 1800s and early turn of century, their original carved wood frame, and an artistic work they were concealed behind. Pennsylvania Germans made decorative documents – known as “fraktur” – to serve as records of important life events. One is from 1886 in Pittsburgh PA, I believe this to be a birth or marriage certificate. The other is from 1902, I believe it to be a death certificate- even though it was filled out in 1902 I Believe it is earlier. The most popular type of fraktur commemorated birth and baptism. Many expressed religious sentiments or served as personal papers. They were also an important educational tool for children. They were usually either kept in the family bible, or were proudly framed and displayed in the home. This set comes with what I believe is a birth and a death fraktur perhaps one is a baptism? This set was found preserved behind the framed artwork shown in the center. They are in excellent antique condition, with amazing decorations and pleasing handwriting. The amazingly detailed decorations on both pieces draw the eye immediately, they would be great for adding a touch of interesting vintage decor to any room. They are perfect for collectors, display / decor, gifting, museums or learning institutions (discounts available for learning institutions) and more! The birth / marriage one has the most detailed artwork. It appears to be a high quality, possibly partially hand colored, print which is hand filled out. It also has a neat Illuminati eye at the top. The black carved wood frame that currently houses the artwork of the young woman is the original frame all 3 pieces were found in. They other two frames I added. I believe a family member must have concealed the pieces either when moving, or if the family bible fell apart. They make a great set, displayable together as a unit across one wall, or as separate pieces throughout a dwelling. All 3 are in good antique condition. They have no major damage, but the usual wear. Please see photos for details. No major tears, or large stains, are present. All 3 will be carefully wrapped and sent together with great care. GOLDSCHEIDER SIGNED TERRACOTTA ANTIQUE DUTCH GIRL LESCA 13 3/4 SCULPTURE 1902. This is in Excellent Condition with No Chips No Cracks No Repairs. Very Nice Rare Antique Goldscheider Sculpture / Figurine. This figure is a dutch girl in pose holding a rake. She is in traditional dutch dress, bonnet and clogs, holding and leaning on a rake with her right hand and the left hand on her hip. There is the initial L inscribed at the bottom of the dress the L is possibly for Louger the sculpturer. On the top of the base is inscribed Lesca. The base has the Goldscheider plaque and the number 3841 6 25 inscribed. This measures 13 3/4 High x 6 1/2. Wide at the widest point. Antique Dutch Baroque Ebonized Picture Frame Historic BEERS BROTHER 17th century

This attractive and historically important gilt and ebonized wood cabinet maker’s frame was re-purposed in the late 1800’s to house an old master oil using period moldings from the 1600’s with additions from the1800’s. The current surface is from the 1800’s and the frame measures 19 1/4″ x 16″ overall with 10 7/8″ x 9 5/8″ rabbet (13 3/4″ x 10 5/8″ rabbet without inner frame) and 10 1/4″ x 7 1/8″ reveal (13 1/2″ x 10 1/8″ without inner frame). It is sturdy and shows some old chips with old touch-up and VERY minor worming. Beers Brothers were an important framing studio who were also known as purveyors of old master paintings. Their framing often incorporated period moldings that were custom fit to period art works of the same era. Antique dutch long tale clock 1850 RARE great condition

Here we have an excellent antique long tale dutch old clock made in holland around 1850 still running great!!! They do not make them anymore like these oak wood in as new condition. All perfect glass around. Nice painting on the front face. And all 3 original weights. Also the 2 little ones for the alarm… Most of the time the alarm is taken out in this clock its all there very rare indeed. Look at the early details which indicate this clock is made before 1860. Painted corners on the clock face. Later on they used copper shields. Copper shield decoration on top. Later these wher e changed to angels and atlas figures. Pillars of the clockwork itself have the early shape experts will know. This clock is in extremely nice condition the wood has never had any insects which is very rare. Even the chain which is only possible when the owners take care of it really well. Daily clockwork which gives you the uppertunity to have contact with you clock every day, i like that in a clock instead of never have to be working with it again. Spice up your house with this extremely nice dutch clock and your friends will be stunned. Not many around lin this very original condition. It also has ots oiginal cloth brodery on top which are extremely rare, it was for keeping the dust of the top of the clock. Traditions say it should never be washed. See link for video. It is well maintained and is still running great!! Please note that i will insure it for theft or loss NOT for damage. But be assured it will be packed very very well. So no worries there.
