An antique mechanical hotel desk turtle. These turtles were used at the front desk of hotels to summon bellhops in the early 1900’s. Wound up on the bottom and will ring when the head or tail is pushed. It is nickle plated and in very good condition with some wear due to age. It is marked 7.4800 on the underside.
