The whistle housing is very clean. No dents or scratches. There are a few places where the nickel plating is wearing away. I operated it and placed my compressor hose into the plug opening and it let out a mighty shriek. Released the lanyard and it cut off. The spark plug is untested. There are several “you tube” videos that show the operation of the whistle. This is a cool tool. Lanyard to top of the housing is 7 1/2. Lanyard to end of spark plug is 5 1/4.
