This offering is for an antique daguerreotype photograph of a well poised woman. The image features the lady in a seated three quarter length view. The woman is wear a nice dress with a wonderful multi layered collar and fingerless gloves. The image is a sixth plate in size measuring app. 2 3/4 by 3 1/4. The image has a fairly good focus with a somewhat soft contrast. The seals are missing and there is a little tarnishing at the edges of the mat opening. The image is contained in it’s original half leatherette case with fancy brass mat and wrap. The case has minor overall wear but is still solid.
