Antique Vintage Old 1938 Wood Philco Chairside Tube AM Radio Model 38-7CS

Rare 1938 Philco Chairside Radio. Rare 1938 Philco Chairside Radio, model 38-7CS. This chairside radio console comes complete with a solid wood chassis, a lower round cloth grille (cloth needs to be replaced) with horizontal bars, a center storage space, and an excellent looking top dial and display. This model uses 6 tubes, runs on a 115-volt AC current, and has broadcast and shortwave waveband frequencies, as well as cone-centric automatic tuning, which was a first for Philco in a chair side model. This radio has the original wood veneer and finish. Shows wear over time and needs to be refinished. All four original knobs including the one around the top dial. The grille design is in excellent condition. The radio is in outstanding and solid condition. Have not tested it yet to see if it works as is. This is a rare and outstanding example of a pre-war radio and of a significant mark in the history of the Philco company, and this radio. Antique Philco Radio Bar console tube radio restored and working

All tubes were tested and replaced as needed, controls cleaned and lubricated. New dial light and external antenna were installed. SW is more active late at night and may require an outdoor antenna. Cabinet was cleaned and hand rubbed with Finish Restorer. There are few wood blemishes and scuffs (see pictures). All original Philco knobs are present and operate properly. New vintage Philco chevron grill cloth was installed. Bar lights were rewired with its separate on/off switch. Side liquor compartment received new lock with key. Radio Bar has 20pcs. Of original glass ware including. 2 aluminum ice buckets. All glass ware is in great condition with platinum rings intact. Additional bar ware: 6 flutes, 1 mixer glass with drink recipes, 2 cork pullers, 1 bottle opener, 2 stirrers. Dimensions are: 30″Lx15″Wx47H It weighs 110lbs. Thank you and good luck! 5 tube 2 band chassis. Description: Here’s a great tombstone. Candidate for a restoration. Tested, Powers up but does not play. No further testing was done. Dial string intact, smooth dials. The chassis has surface corrosion starting and will need to be treated. Speaker is in good condition, No tears. The original bakelite knobs are there. Decals inside cabinet are still readable. Vintage old wood antique tube radio Philco Mdl 40-125 A Real Beauty

This is a very collectable 1939/40 6 tube radio and it is simply gorgeous. This is the popular model 40-125. The size is a great put anywhere 11″ long x 7.5″ tall x 7 deep. The cabinet is in beautiful condition and is very nicely refinished. There are very nice Walnut and Maple veneers. Nice dark colors and plenty of wood grains throughout. The dial face is excellent and has the popular winged design pointer. There are nice rounded corners and a very nice speaker grill. Additionally, you have the neat carrying handle which has a nice brass center strip. The three “Bullet” style knobs have been cleaned and resealed. The radio has six functional Push Buttons and there are new Station Call Letters installed in the brass Bracket. There is a new dial cover, new dial lamp, new AC Power cord, and new Filter/Audio capacitors installed. The 6 tubes have been tested and the remaining components were checked & replaced if needed. This is a wonderful example of the American Radio Industry waiting for you to display in your favorite place in the home or office. The radio plays and receives stations very well with no issues. The speaker is in excellent condition and has very good volume, tone, and clarity. These models are excellent players and great lookers! The radio also has a factory installed “Loop” Antenna which receives very well. No need for wires hanging out the rear. Performance will vary based on your location and signal strength. This is the 1938/39 Philco 5 tube radio and it is very beautiful. This is the popular model 39-7. The size is 11″ long x 7.5″ tall x 6.5 deep. The cabinet is in beautiful condition and I just refinished it. There are very nice Walnut/Maple veneers. Nice light and dark colors plus plenty of nice wood grains throughout. The dial face is in very good condition and the two sided pointer works as it should. There are rounded corners and a very nice speaker grill. There are new Station Call Letters and the brass bracket has been polished as well. The two original knobs have been cleaned and resealed. There are 6 functional push buttons and they have been polished and resealed. There is a new dial cover, new dial lamp, new AC power cord, new speaker grill cloth, and new Filter/Audio capacitors installed. The 5 tubes have been tested and the remaining components were checked & replaced if needed. This radio is a wonderful example of the American Radio Industry waiting for you to display in your favorite place in the home or office. The radio plays and receives stations excellent with a few feet of wire added to the antenna Pigtail located at the rear of the radio. There are no issues. The speaker is in very good condition and has very good volume, tone, and clarity. These models are excellent players and great lookers! Thank you very much for stopping in! Note: the last push button labeled “Dial” MUST be pushed in to allow for use of the Tuning knob to surf the dial. Performance of the radio will depend on your location and signal strength. ANTIQUE PHILCO CATHEDRAL RADIO model 118 LARGE wood vintage vacuum tube RARE

Antique PHILCO model 118 cathedral radio. A model rarely up for sale! All wood and MADE IN THE USA in the early to mid 1900’s. LARGE BODY at 18 3/4″ tall, 16″ wide, and 10 1/2 deep. TWO TONE body looks to be made of MAHOGANY veneer but please see pictures to be sure. All original matching BAKELITE knobs are still on the unit as well as the original dial plate. Original cloth screen, cord, and plug. All tubes are present. The unit lights up when plugged in and static can be heard. This was the extent of the testing. The fabric screen has some light signs of age. The outside of the cabinet has some light wear as seen in pictures. (scuff marks, scratches, but no cracks) The inside and outside could use a little further cleaning. AS YOU CAN TELL BY THE PICTURES, IT IS STILL A GOOD LOOKING UNIT. Vintage old wood antique tube radio Philco mdl 38-12 Just Restored

Just completed the restoration of this beautiful highly collectable 1938 Philco tube radio. This the Philco model 38-12. It is a “put anywhere” size of 11.5″ long x 8″ tall x 6.5 deep. The radio’s cabinet is refinished and has wonderful wood grains, and colors. The radio has rounded corners, Nice speaker grill and a very nice top. The two original knobs have been cleaned, polished, and resealed. The dial face and pointer are very nice and the pointer works as required. The brass dial bezel has been cleaned, polished, and resealed. There is a new Dial Lamp, new AC Power Cord, new speaker grill cloth, and new Audio/Filter Capacitors. Chassis cleaned, all tubes tested, and the remainder of the components tested/adjusted and replaced if needed. Speaker provides excellent projection, tones, and clarity. This little radio has an Antenna pigtail at the rear of the radio which will required a few feet of wire to be attached for proper reception and performance. Reception and performance will depend on your location, antenna length, and signal strength. Excellent player here with no issues. This radio would look wonderful in you office or home on display.
