It was part of my grandmother’s collection and, although it is a used item, it has been carefully stored and remains in excellent condition. This Kimono was bought few decades ago with around 10,000USD. Authentic Japanese kimono with an elegant silver color? Includes a matching obi (kimono belt) for a complete traditional look? Made from high-quality silk, offering a luxurious and smooth texture? No major stains or damage, well-preserved for its age. The antique Victorian 1890 embroidered quilt features a floral pattern with vibrant colors and detailed hand stitching. Measuring 45″x70″, this rectangular quilt is made of silk and cotton materials. This quilt is true a work of art and is beautiful. The edging is missing on the front and the silk edging as well as a few silk squares have shattered over the years. There is some staining and color bleed in some parts from adjacent squares-visible mostly on the back. Despite the wear from years past, this quilt is still in good overall condition considering the age of the quilt. The hand stitches are still holding the pieces tightly together, and the embroidered images are as precise as ever shows how a talented the seamstress & quilter was. What an amazing labor of love it must have been to design, hand piece and stitch together such a beautiful quilt that it would be a treasured piece of the family linens for over a hundred years. This quilt is a textile time capsule of sorts and is a historical treasure as much as a testament to the amazing craftsmanship of quilters in days gone by. The rug measures 18.5 X 27.5 inches excludes the fringes. Crafted using the traditional knotting technique, this original piece is a testament to Turkish culture and craftsmanship. Markings: “LM & C France” on the back of the frame, tested, and guaranteed. Main Stone Measurements/Color. Accent Stone Measurements/Color. Men’s or Women’s: Unisex. Handmade during the Georgian era in France. Features the motifs of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and of the Virgin Mary, composed of silk with metallic gold stitched accents. The hearts rest on a black silk background, which also contains a cross motif. A crown of thorns design borders this image. A bubble glass frame protects the three-dimensional picture. A bale is connected to the base metal frame, allowing the piece to be hung on a wall, or worn as a large pendant. Damage: Age appropriate wear. There are several minor scratches to the bubble glass, as well as some wear to the black backing of the picture. The price has been reduced to reflect this. This listing is for the item only. The Georgian era is known for its hand-crafted designs, which were heavily influenced by world exploration. A few signatures of this era were high karat gold, cameos, chatelaine accessories, foil-backed stones, rivière necklaces, memento mori and mourning jewelry, and rose and mine cut diamonds. While the jewelry from this era began to see designs from all over the world, jewelry from abroad was still very expensive to acquire due to sea travel. 1920s Carved Dragon Table Lamp W Silk Shade. The wood lamp is intricately carved and expressive. The silk lampshade has three separate Japanese scenes. Due to its age, the silk is very delicate and has some tears on the top. Also one tassel is missing. It works perfectly with a vintage cord, but can easily be rewired.
