Here we have an excellent antique long tale dutch old clock made in holland around 1850 still running great!!! They do not make them anymore like these oak wood in as new condition. All perfect glass around. Nice painting on the front face. And all 3 original weights. Also the 2 little ones for the alarm… Most of the time the alarm is taken out in this clock its all there very rare indeed. Look at the early details which indicate this clock is made before 1860. Painted corners on the clock face. Later on they used copper shields. Copper shield decoration on top. Later these wher e changed to angels and atlas figures. Pillars of the clockwork itself have the early shape experts will know. This clock is in extremely nice condition the wood has never had any insects which is very rare. Even the chain which is only possible when the owners take care of it really well. Daily clockwork which gives you the uppertunity to have contact with you clock every day, i like that in a clock instead of never have to be working with it again. Spice up your house with this extremely nice dutch clock and your friends will be stunned. Not many around lin this very original condition. It also has ots oiginal cloth brodery on top which are extremely rare, it was for keeping the dust of the top of the clock. Traditions say it should never be washed. See link for video. It is well maintained and is still running great!! Please note that i will insure it for theft or loss NOT for damage. But be assured it will be packed very very well. So no worries there. Victorian Antique Jeweler Regulator Walnut Long Case Clock. A Victorian period jeweler’s true regulator long case or grandfather clock was crafted in the 1880’s for a jewelry store in Wisconsin, R. ” Super accurate clocks like these were used by watchmaker’s to adjust the time or “regulate clocks and watches. The solid walnut case has burl panels and an old finish in very fine condition that could be original. There are shrinkage separations from age, see photos. Glass is old and wavy. Nickel over brass mounts and porcelain dial are in remarkably fine condition on this American made antique clock. The 8 day silent movement has a sweep second hand and keeps very accurate time, we can not find a signature. Measurements are 34″ wide, 14″ deep and 95 tall. This clock needs to be “set up” when delivered – weights and pendulum attached and the case leveled. The process is not very difficult, and it is also nice to know how to do this again whenever the clock needs to be moved for cleaning, painting or whatever. A few customers prefer to hire a local clockmaker at their own expense to make a house-call and set up the clock, which is usually not very expensive, depending on your location.
