A rare huge 6 chime steel and brass steam whistle. It is 30 1/2 tall overall. The whistle part itself is 15 1/4 tall. The top part of whistle itself is about 7 1/4 in diameter. Base of whistle itself across the fins is 8 in diameter. The housing around whistle is made of steel and is approximately 10″ wide and 19″ tall. The whistle itself is either steel or iron. The bottom section marked Nathan is made of brass including side mount. The U shaped part that holds the brass disc marked Chicago Pat Mar 24 1925 AW 39 is made of steel. The handle looks like steel. The valve knob is made of iron or steel. In the photos, parts marked with S are steel or iron, brass parts are marked B. Please see photos carefully as they are part of the description thanks. It has a Beautiful Footed Mahogany Wood Case, with Gothic Arched Front Door with Heavy Bevelled Glass. This has a Fancy Brass Dial with Etched Designs and a Silver Metal Numeral Ring, Signed “Junghans Germany”. It has a Signed Junghans German Brass Mechanical 8 Day “Time and Strike” Regulator Key Wound Movement with Five Rod Quarterly Westminster Chime. This is a Key Wound Clock and includes the Winding Key and Correct Brass Adjustable Pendulum. The Clock measures approx. 18″ Tall x 12″ Wide x 7 3/4 Deep. This Clock Runs and Keeps Good Time!
