Very rare round Antique Ottoman Damari Faturan cherry amber bakelite islamic prayer beads 98 grams. Lovely and a collector piece indeed its a museum piece. This is a stunning beautiful over 100 years old ottoman Osmanli Damari dark cherry amber Faturan / bakelite islamic prayer beads. The color is wine red and better than in the photos deep cherry red stunning and rare barrel cut beads. Has a very nice smell when used or rubbed. Semi chrome tested positive. Each measuring in average approximately. 14 mm X 15 mm. Imam 35 mm long (perfect condition). Antique heavy silver coin tassel. Please note that the beads are not the exactly same size due to old cut. Do please study photos carefully this is an old antique item. You will not find another one , this prayer beads have been tested by a hot needle in an inconspicuous place revealing 100% faturan smell results and I believe were carved in the early years. The cord is multi stings nylon thick 1.5mm and will stay there a lifetime. The total weight is 98 grams. Please look at the photos as they speak for themselves. AUTHENTIC PERSIAN ROYALTY GRADE. An astonishing piece of history! The hilt is carved from a single piece of ivory with a wonderful grain visible all over. The sheath is a green tooled leather over timber with an silver and ivory tip. The blade is of a fine wootz steel. It has a thick medial ridge running through to the tip and it is decorated with golden inscriptions in koftgar. THE BLADE IS DATED – 1120 ANNO HEGIRA – wich means that it was made back in 1708 A. Overall lenght in scabbard 38,5 cm. Blade lenght 25 cm. Blade 4,5 cm wide at widest point. The dagger is in great original condition, no resorations. ALL STRONG AND FIRM.. NOTHING LOOSE OR WEAK. Antique Ottoman yatagan sword – Ottoman empire 18th-19th century. Even if the steel of the blade is in poor condition, it is still strong and the blade remains very nice engravings. One side is probably engraved a Koran sentence, the other side the name of the black-smith. Handle is wood with coral cabochon inlaid. Strong and solid, no movement. Length 75cm (29 1/2 in).
