This exquisite Danish name cloth (navneklud) features a traditional Adam and eve standing beside the tree of knowledge, complete with serpent. These “Name cloths” were educational tools used by young girls to demonstrate their sewing proficiency and literacy. They often served as a permanent record of their skills and family lineage.
