This is a Stanley No. 41 Millers Patent Plow Plane. This NICE Stanley No. 41 Millers Patent Plane Type 6 made only in 1883. The plane is in hard to find overall excellent condition with just light signs of use and age. The metal plane surfaces are shiny clean with full black japanning and show only light signs of age in a few places. The rosewood handle has nice lacquer finish with the “Millers Patent” mark and original owner’s name on both sides. The fillister bed has near 100% black japanning which is rare to find. The bottom of the fillister bed is shiny clean steel with light signs of use. The fillister blade is shiny clean, full original length with a nice sharp edge. The fillister fence is in excellent condition and moves easily on the clean steel rods. One of the nicer Stanley No. 41 Millers Patent Plane as you’ll find for your collection or actual woodworking use! Current Book Value on a Stanley No. This plane grades in the middle of that value range! AUTHENTIC WILLIS & GEIGER WWII BOMBER JACKET. Up for sale is a super rare and original Willis & Geiger AN-J-3A. These jackets were made along with the AN-J-3, for less than a year in 1943 as a joint services replacement for the A-2 / M-422 flight jackets. The program did not succeed but a few of the jackets were made and issued during WWII. This is one of the survivors and it’s ALL ORIGINAL! Still has spec tag and name EL BERGER on chest. Size 36 tag (see measurements). Original shearling collar has beautiful blond color. I recently acquired this jacket along with an original WW2 cloth flight helmet and goggles which I have also posted for sale! Own this extremely rare piece of WW2 history! I have also had two collectors give me the following additional information. This ANJ3A is super rare because of the material of the jacket is horse hide. In the long history of US NAVY jacket type G-1 this is the only type that used horse hide for the jacket. Others are all goat skin. This information was obtained from. Full Gear – Collectors Guide on US Flying clothing from the 1920’s thru 1970’s. That is a very rare jacket indeed. There is some controversy about whether some were made with leather collars back then. This jacket has been well kept for many years. Leather is gorgeous with beautiful patina! No tears, stains or holes in leather with the exception of one very tiny hole near the shoulder seam (see last pic). Knitting only has a few small holes and stains as can be seen in the pictures. Full lining is in tact. Seams are good and tight. Buttons and zipper in great working condition. Shearling collar has aged but looks great. There is a slight musty odor from age that is typical. No attempt has been made to clean it. This jacket is definitely in good enough shape to wear! Underarm to underarm: 19. Shoulder seam to cuff: 23. Shoulder seam to shoulder seam: 16.
