Fine antique Native American Indian CROW PIPE TOMAHAWK. Circa – 1800’S. The TOMAHAWK is in great CONDITION. (See my other listings). Dates from around 1800’s according to previous owner. English made trade tomahawk inlaid with diamond shaped brass decoration. There is also “TRIANGLE” makers / proof mark on the blade – hard to make out , rusty. A truly spectacular TOMAHAWK. THE WOODEN SHAFT IS REPLACEMENT. Hard as hell to find in this kind of condition. It is a super nice piece. The TOMAHAWK – 8″ long , 2″ wide at the blade. Kept on display for the last 60+ years. Unusual & Rare 18th-19th C. American Indian Trade Axe Tomahawk, Very Well Marked. Well forged steel or iron head with various maker and patent markings on both sides. It has an unusual back hammer form. The original wooden shaft decorated with brass tacks and very cool bear claw and tooth. The entire surface of the wood shows a nice deep patina. I can say that it is very Rare early tomahawk, most likely dating from the 1700s and American Revolution era. Haft Length – 21.0 in. Blade Length – 7.5 in. This is a very nice Native American Rug / Blanket. There are no tears or rips, but there does appear to be a few blemishes where it looks like a weave had been pulled or dropped. There are a few spots. I don’t believe it has ever been clean. It appears fairly clean. One stitch along the perimeter is no longer a continuous. I will try to get that picture available. It is very soft and non wiry / bristly unlike newer woven rugs / blankets. It measures about 48″ x 56″. If you are interested, I’ll be happy to send additional photos detailing more of the condition.
