Up for sale is a BEAUTIFULLY restored early 1900’s Mills Electricity Is Life Shock Machine, which works on a penny. This is a restored machine, as the outer cabinet has been re-painted in vibrant matching colors. As you can see in the pictures the machine is aesthetically close to near MINT condition. The top paper marquee and the paper scale on the front of the machine have been replaced. As you can see in the picture, there is a small chip in the lower right hand corner of the marquee glass. There is also a replacement battery that works on four 1.5 Volt AA batteries. Originally this machine was designed to work on a 6 Volt battery. Therefore, the replacement voltage is correct and when a penny is inserted a substantial shock is gradually administered to the payee as he/she turns the handle on the right. The farther the handle is turned, the bigger the shock! Maybe a little twisted but nonetheless this is such a fun and neat little machine. The entire mechanism including the cabinet is original, as is the lock. I had to get a replacement key made by a locksmith to match the lock. This truly is a unique and rare penny arcade machine from a by-gone era! Essentially this is a complete machine which works as it should, that would be a GREAT complement to any collection or Man-Cave. Another added feature of this machine is that it is compact and would fit nicely on any shelf or bar top. The cabinet roughly measures: 9long x 7 deep x 12 tall. My description of my machines are spot on. If you have any additional questions, please feel free to contact me. As I mentioned earlier, this has never been an issue with any of my machines.
