Fairly crude, mold-blown Quart in an attractive shade of light Yellow/Golden Amber. Base is embossed: PUTNAM / 225. Typical roughness/flakes on the ground lip; there an adhered dry gasket, or reddish wax, on the outer ledge, as shown. Hundreds of tiny seed bubbles, and a large air inclusion on the shoulder noted. Traces of content residue noted on interior. Note : there is a surface-only annealing line on the base (see close-ups). Displays absolutely brilliantly on a sunlit sill or window shelf. See photos for complete details and close-ups. Please consider them as part of the description. Desirable 1-Quart capacity; measures approximately 8H x 3-3/4W overall, including the lid & closure. Crude, mold-blown Quart in an attractive shade of Pale Yellow Amber. Base is embossed: PUTNAM / 403. Color Note : The color depicted in the photos is accurate. I would call this a Honey or Yellow Amber. Or, in maple syrup terms, a perfect shade of Grade A Golden Amber. Displays even a shade or two lighter on a sill. Typical roughness on the ground lip. A few air inclusions noted for descriptive accuracy. No chips, cracks, or other excuses. Displays brilliantly on a sunlit sill or window shelf. See photos for complete details and close-ups. Description : An Early American Chestnut Flask, 7-3/8H, New England origin, ca. Free-blown in a varying shades of Olive Amber with outward, rolled mouth and pontil scar on base. Crude and asymmetrical with several embedded ash inclusions and 100s of tiny seed bubbles throughout. The photos are probably the best description. There is a small crows foot/radial noted on the body (see close-up #11). See photos for complete details and please consider them as part of the description.
