Stevens Cast Iron Mechanical Baseball Bank entitled “DARKTWON BATTERY” BY J. It works by pulling the pitcher’s arm backward into position. Hes then lowers forward and down and then place a coin in the pitcher’s right hand. Then press down on the lever and the pitchers throws the coin toward the catcher and his head and arm snap back into position. At the same time, the batter raises his bat and turns his head from right to left as if he is watching the coin. The catcher moves his head forward and his left hand in toward his body so that the coin actually goes inside his body. The bank is in working condition. It is about 10″ long, 2 3/4″ wide, and 7 1/4 high. My dust collector is available. P lease check my other auctions this week. Ninety percent of what I sell is from estate sales and is not new. Circa July 31st, 1888 and measures 8 3/4″ long x 2 7/8″ wide x 7 1/2 tall. The mechanical bank operates by pressing a coin in the dogs mouth and pressing the lever. The dog raises up and jumps through the hoop to deposit the coin in the barrel. It is in good condition with its original trap. We will break it down for you upon end of sale in the invoice. Eighty-five percent of 18th Century veneers have had some restoration during their life. Pine secondary woods might fracture, making overlays and veneers have the same fracture lines. Old finishes might alligator, fade, fish-eye or darken depending on where the pieces were placed. All of these are desired by a true collector and gives it personality. Do not expect these early pieces to be like new. These pieces age gracefully just as we do, giving them unique personality. Antique 20th Century Corona 3 Typewriter. This is an absolutely stunning example of an Antique Corona No. Its in great condition and considering its age and has only a small amount of chips to the paintwork. Even includes both of its original ribbon spool nuts. This machine seems to be in good overall condition but would benefit from a service. The Typewriter types as it should, although it sometimes doesnt advance, resulting in the letters to stack (See typing example). The bell also works (The mechanism hits the bell) but it just makes a clack noise, the bell doesnt actually ring out. Im sure these could be sorted easily, as the base machine is working as it should. The metal work still looks fantastic with only some minor blemishes. The gold leaf is still in exquisite condition, however on the very front bar, the word’Corona’ is missing it’s letter’A’. Unfortunately, the machine doesnt feature case, so will be sent without one. However, the machine will be extremely well packaged to protect during transit. We try our hardest to describe all our items as clearly & honestly as possible, including any faults or flaws. No restoration or repainting. The orange and yellow colours are still very bright and have not faded much over the years. No significant oxidation or paint loss. The coin mechanism works perfectly. Measures 17.5cm tall, 9cm wide at the base and 5.5cm deep at the base. Weighs 97 grams unpacked. Some minor denting of the metal around the base rim – also back left hand corner. Normal scuffs to the high points you would expect. The tongue has two tiny splits on one side – doesn’t not affect the stability of the tongue but mentioned for accuracy. At the same time, the eaglets rise up and open their beaks. Base plate is marked PAT JAN23 / 1883; Trap cover is marked PAT FEB2 1875. It has not been cleaned. Perfect working condition; all mechanics operate smoothly. Eagle is the desirable spotted wing & back variant, and retains both original glass eyes. The original paper and wood bellows is present but does not chirp with the lever is activated. Minor scuffs/scratches noted on base plate.
