Antique Victorian Black Forest Cuckoo Clock GHS Mantel shelf clock

Beautiful Victorian cuckoo clock with lovely carved wood detailing. Free standing mantelpiece / shelf clock (not for wall hanging). Stamped on the brass mechanism is’G. 32′, indicating it is a Gordian Hettich Sohn which is one of the smaller Black Forest manufacturers founded in 1836 although as it is GHS it is post-1880. Clockwork and cuckoo mechanims Iin full working order including sound via two air bellows. 8-day winding basis i. Needs to be wound once a week. The cuckoo comes out every half hour, it cuckoos once on the half hour and for the number corresponding to the hour. The only issues to note are relatively minor: a very small amount of the white detailing in some places has fallen off around the winder holes and the number 5 (V). Also the handle or knob to pull the back cover off is no longer there but could be replaced, although the back has 2 latches on the top and groove fitting at the bottom so a handle to pull the back off is not really necessary. Antique Wooden Bird Cage Victorian Dome Mahogany Hand Crafted 27L x 35H

This rare majestic bird cage is 27long, 9wide (not including porch) and 35 high. It has two entrances; one from the front door and one from her back wall. There is a slot at the bottom to remove waste. There are a few blemishes. There is a broken but still intact piece in the back wall (please see photo 11) and a slight crack still intact on top porch. Antique Victorian Miller Hanging Oil Library Kerosene Parlor Ceiling Lamp Light

Up for sale is a beautiful Victorian kerosene hanging parlor or library ceiling light. The oil font is marked on the bottom with EM & Co and I believe a number. Then this was hand painted by a skilled artisan and the shade and font are matching. There is no pull down mechanism in the top they have the hanging chains attached as pictured. There are 40 hanging crystals around the bottom of the top shade. The glass shade measures 14″ across the bottom and the entire lamp is from the ceiling cover to the bottom of the bracket is approximately 40″. There are no cracks, chips or any other damage to any of the glass. There are a couple of dings on the top of the collar on the oil font. This beautiful story of birth, love and death is memorialized in this precious book. Thought to have been created by John Dadleys youngest daughter Alice Mary. Absolutely heartfelt Ultra RARE Victorian Civil War memento token scrapbook featuring obituaries and births with Victorian hair art and actual clippings from the obituaries of the deceased. This original stunning book was found in Ohio. The book depicts a family surrounded by the patriarch civil war soldier named John Dadley from the 142nd Regiment, Ohio Infantry (National Guard) Organized at Camp Chase, Ohio and mustered in September 13, 1864. Moved to Martinsburg, W. VA, May 14th thence to Washington D. Duty at Fort Lyons till June 3. Attached to the 2nd Brigade, DeRussy’s Division, 22nd Army Corps. Embarked at Alexandria, VA, for White House, VA, June 7. Duty guarding supply trains through the Wilderness near Cold Harbor June 9-14. Moved to Point of Rocks, VA, and duty there till August 19. Ordered home and mustered out September 2, 1864. Regiment lost during service 1 officer and 42 enlisted men by disease. Robe ancienne Second Empire Antique french victorian Gown

Jolie robe datant du Second Empire en finissime mousseline de coton imprimée de fleurettes, entièrement cousue à la main. Bas de jupe et manches sont garnies de légers volants du même tissu. Compte tenu de la délicatesse du tissu elle est dans un état de conservation surprenant. Au niveau de la jupe, il n’y a qu’un petit accroc restauré dans le bas, sur le coté droit au ras du premier volant. Le corsage présente quelques petits points de fatigue vers les boutons, à l’encolure et dans la pointe au niveau de la taille (voir dernières photos svp). En vue d’exposition, les boutons manquants avaient été remplacés par de petits boutons en soie. Le corsage est carrément monté sur un petit corselet en coton solide garni de dentelle. La jupe n’est pas doublée, elle est présentée sur une crinoline qui ne fait pas partie de la vente. N’hésitez pas a demander plus de photos. Antique Ornate Victorian Parlor Oil Lamp Brass Hand Painted Globe Pedestal Lamp

This is an antique brass Victorian parlor oil lamp from the late 1800’s. It is complete and intact. A new wick has been added to the lamp. The flame spreader is antique but not original to this lamp as it is marked B&H and we added it as the original flame spreader was missing. Note that there is a crack on the back side of the milk glass shade but is very difficult to notice. I tried to adequately show in the photos. The shade is hand painted. There is also slight cracks on the underside of the stem where it meets the oil reserve but are just cosmetic. The base is not brass like the rest of it. It is painted cast metal and heavy to give it stability. The base is 6.5″ x 6.5″ and the globe is approx. 9 at it’s widest. The brass and metal stand without the chimney is about 20. Rare Antique Animated Mechanical Victorian Store Window Display Automaton Xmas

The sedan chair moves back and forth and the mother and baby kangaroos turn their heads back and forth. The men are linked to the handles and sway back and forth as the coach moves. Everything is functional but it could use some lube and cleaning. It is powered by two standard 110 volt plugs. There are portions of lace coming off, the men are missing fingers, there is torn fabric particularly on the one man’s shoe and the paneling on the side of the sedan chair, and the plaster or papier mache that the figures are made out of does have cracks in places. There is a rhinestone necklace that looks like it went on the mother kangaroo that is broken. Unfortunately, I do not know the history of this piece, but it is certainly one-of-a-kind and would be the centerpiece of any doll or automaton collection. This item has dirt and wear from display, moving, and storage, but overall displays very well for it’s age. It measures 14″×50.25″×55.25 not including the dolly it is pictured on. Beautiful Antique Victorian Hanging Cast Iron Horse Lamp. EXCELLENT CONDITION from recent appraisal by The Antique Lamp store in Buffalo, New York. Late Victorian-era circa 1875, American, cast iron, kerosene burning (modified in later years to work with electricity), hanging lamp. Designed to hang on ceiling hook. Support chains loop around pulleys attaching the crown-shaped counter weight, which also holds the 14 opal glass slant shade designed to cast the light downward onto work areas. Lamp commonly referred to as an Iron Horse. Style and mechanics of operational are representational of late 19th century American kerosine lighting.
