Rare Antique Philippine Lime Container Carved Bone & Wooden HandCarved Water Buffalo. From an antique gallery shop ” Chang Ring” Manila, Philippines, with label and price erased (given as gift), bought in the 50’S -60’S and brought in the USA. Label : A Lime container in a shape of a carabao (water buffalo) with handcarved wooden tail; made of bone and wood with incised traditional design. MARINAO PEOPLE, LANAO DEL SUR, MINDANAO ISLAND. Handcrafted with a incised carving of a beetle, leaves and ornate traditional decor at the round tubular bone container. The handcarved wooden top is the head with horns and bone incised carvings ornate top decor. The container is encapsulated in a hard wooden handcarved frame of a water buffalo or “carabao” with an ornate tail and a simple rectangular stand. Measures: 8 1/2″ length, 4 1/2″ tall approximately 2 width. Great to excellent condition, there are no repairs. The wooden cap snuggles to the bone container. Please check photos for further evaluation. Collectible and surely belongs for us to a museum. Santa’s face is fine quality composition, blue, blue eyes, rabbit fur beard and mustache, long red coat with snow, and real fur trim. The face is in wonderful condition, no damage, clothing has little wear and not faded. The extra-large 22 candy container is clean, light wear inside, the base is sturdy, retrieval of candy is above his boots in a large container. Base is snow covered with mica. Santa holds his original feather tree 9 tall with 4 tiny antique glass ornaments and red berries at the ends. Santa comes from a smoke free home and has no smell. Large ANTIQUE German SANTA papermache candy container, labeled c. 1890 very good

WONDERFUL, original ANTIQUE German, c. 1890 , large SANTA papiermache (paper mache) candy container, all original, without repairs and in generally very good condition. He measure measures about, 10 12 high with removable head and torso half for storage of candies and gifts. The bottom half is weighted with his nicely detailed (although chipped) black boots which still bear the round: Made in Germany, blue label. On his back SANTA CLAUS carries his original large red, crepe paper bag and the original green paper “feather” tree with red berry. This attractive figure of St. Has realistically molded and painted features including thick eyebrows, blue eyes and painted wrinkles as well as a rabbit fur beard, mustache and hair beneath his dark red jacket with white trim, red stocking cap with matching white trim, BLUE trousers and black belt. What a FANTASTIC piece of Christmas tradition, treasured and well preserved. He can stand alone but is best supported with a stand and his boots would benefit from a bit of repair. He has had no repairs or repaint and has no odors and is from a smoke free home. Other items shown are not included and each listed separately. Very Nice Paper Maché Antique Original Belsnickle German Candy Container Santa Nickolas 9.5. Composite face and hands, blue composite pants, black composite boots, rabbit fur hair and beard with original’tree’ sprig. Made in Germany sticker on foot. See photos for details. Some small holes on lower half under the’rim’. Looks to have been repaired previously. Only viewable when disassembled. Small hairline on left leg.
