This offering is for an antique 19th century CDV Photo of an omnibus or stage coach. The coach is drawn by a four horse team and there are several men posed on it in the image. The back side of the mount is marked in period hand “THE BULL” and there is a penciled date of 5-3-92 that appear to be in a later hand. The mount measures app. 2.5″ by 4″ and the condition is very nice with minor light wear to the surface but no creases, tears or repairs. Antique French Mantel Clock Gilt Bronze Circa 1870’s With Putti Figurines. Hello Ladies and Gentlemen we are pleased to present to you a charming Antique French Mantel Clock in Gilt Bronze Circa 1870’s! This is a large French Mantel Clock as was common of the 19th Century period. This beautiful clock was made in France Circa 1870’s. The 5 diameter gilded brass dial is filled with cast decoration and has White Enamel Cartouches with Blue Roman Numerals and Victorian Style Hands. The case is an ornate scroll leaf and flower designed Brass Chased with three alluring Putti. An Artist and a Sculptor flank the sides and a Musician sits at the top. A small piece of the Musicians Bow may be broken off(Please see photo 7). It is in all original condition with exception of the glass on the back of the movement which we replaced. There is no guarantee on the movement due to the age of the piece. The movement is believed to be original and may need some work as it stops and goes. Make sure you look at all the photos so you can see all the amazing details of this enchanting timepiece from antiquity. This large clock measures approximately 27″H x 22″W(at base) x 9L(at base) and weighs approximately 50 pounds. The Clock has a nice original color patina showing some normal age patina in a few areas adding to the charm of this stunning piece. We took plenty of pictures and ask that you please view them carefully. The clock movement is marked “699” and a signature of “Mc Martin” is written on the bell of the movement (see photos 9 & 10). This signature just adds to the mystique of the piece. The bell has an nice soothing sound. We are very excited about this Rare and Hard to Find piece for all of you collectors. Antique Gilbert Regulator No 3 Wall Clock 1870s Rosewood Case Time Only Running. Would make a great gift for a special occasion, or keep for yourself! This is a very nice Gilbert Regulator No 3 Clock that is rare and uncommon to be available in the market place. Do not see another one available in any internet clock store at the time of this listing (let me know if one of you sees one). The wood case which appears to be made of rosewood has a lot of its’ original elegance. The wood appliques on the front of the case are all in place as well. The condition of the case is very nice. The topper and finials are all in place, some condition issues, see below. Great looking brass movement on this clock as well, see the pics. Ingenious how Gilbert made the sliding rosewood panels behind the pendulum and bob to mask the lead weight from being seen. No loose wood pieces on the case, all the carved appliques and finials are in place. The locking latch for the door is still on the side of the case. Hinges for the door are in working order. The back panel on this clock really shows a lot of age, a crack in it from about 1/3 of the day down from the top running to the bottom. The topper is all there. The topper appears to have been dropped at some point as you can see where split across the piece, under the lady’s face, and repaired at some point in the past. The three bottom finials are in place, the center one has part of the point and cone just above the point cut off on the back. The leveler plate is still in place at the bottom of the case. Nice intact glass piece on this case. As noted before, the glass on the front of this clock case is just beautiful and intact. Has a couple of molding bubbles in it as well! The glass has no blistering or cracks. Cannot say if the glass is original, but looks appropriate. The clock face is made of paper applied to tin. Says “Wm L Gilbert Clock Co” and “Winsted, Conn” on it. The paper face is most likely a replacement one applied to the original tin pan. The clock hands match and look appropriate to the clock. Did not see any marking on the front plate of the brass movement. The movement design and hanger for the pendulum matches up with other Gilbert Regulator movements we have found pictures of online at the sites we refer to. This is an eight day movement. Beautifully detailed brass cable and pulley the weight hangs from. The leaded weight looks appropriate to the clock, cannot say if original. This is a weight driven time only movement. Great wood pendulum rod (no splits or repairs) and brass bob on this clock that look appropriate to the clock. Much of the paper label is still on the back of the case. The clock stands 48″ tall, by 15.5″ across, by 6-7/8″ wide (by topper, 6″ by case). The clock face is 7-5/16 across. Let us know if you have any questions or need additional pictures. 1870’s Black Forest Antique Beha Shelf Cuckoo Clock Germany Model 509. This model 509 Futures the fence grape Vines and grapes done in beautiful detail with the butterfly on top the clock is 16″ Tall x 10″ Wide x 6.75 Deep. Its a beautiful collector clock. The clock has no missing pieces and is in fabulous shape and runs beautifully. It has the traditional double doors with an extraordinarily large cuckoo bird, it comes out beautifully, sounds beautiful and has a deep soft sound, keeps fabulous time and is a very strong Runner. It is a 50 hour clock. It has new leather Bellow tops, movement cleaned, oiled case cleaned and waxed. It even retains its original advertising stickers which I find most surprising about this clock.
