Excellent pair of wooden dumbbells! Marked as 1.5lbs each, when weighed on my digital scale, they both come up closer to 1lb 3oz or 4oz. So just a tad bit off of marked weight. What makes these special, and unique, are the hand-written markings along both of them. James, it is actually in reference to the private boys school that is/was located in Gill / Northfield, MA. 80 Crosley Hall is also marked upon them, in reference to, i’m sure of, his dormatory room. Also, on the end of one, is a monogram he has invented for mt Hermon school, MHS, letters stacked on top of one another. Well-worn, and look great as a display on any of your shelving etc… These would make an excellent addition to yours or anyone elses collection of sports memorabilia, or, a collection of school/local history etc… If one were residing close-by, as I do… I realize the main campus has been closed for some time now, but, I still believe there to be another building close by that is in use, in regards to being connected to the old mt Hermon school etc… I could be wrong, i’m just not certain if they have down-sized or have permanently closed everything down etc.. Approx 11.5 x 3.5 inches in length/width. From a student who attended this college preparatory / boarding school.
