Vintage Antique Western Electric 354 Wall Phone- Fully Working Best on Market

Dial The dial has been fully disassembled, cleaned, lubed and timed to ensure years of trouble free service. The outer edge of the dial has been stripped and repainted with a gloss black enamel. Unless the dial is removed, this is something you will rarely ever even see, but this is how it would have come from the factory. The number plate has been cleaned and a perfectly matching overlay has been applied. The powder coated finger wheel and dial card ring have been added as well as a brand new die cut dial card and acetate. You can choose from either black or brown cloth cords. The line cord has a modular connection to facilitate a modern connection to your wall jack. Shell The shell has been painstakingly put through a multi-step restoration process which includes sanding with 400, 800, 1000, 2000 grit. This ensures that there are no scratches, dents or dings. The shell is them carefully buffed on our two step buffing wheels. This takes out the fine abrasions left by sanding and leaves the plastic with a smooth factory fresh finish. Finally we apply a three step plastic restoration compound. This leaves the plastic with a beautiful high gloss finish. Dont be fooled by other plastic 354s where they are simply painted, we have the real deal. Handset Handset has been ultrasonically cleaned to get all embedded debris. It is then sanded with the same process as the shell and buffed back to its beautiful original shine. Base The base is completely stripped of all its components, sandblasted and sealed with gloss clear coat. The components are then cleaned, tested and reinstalled. Antique Chelsea Clock Company No. 1 Pendulum Wall Clock #11017 ca. 1900-1904

Beautifully refurbished Antique Chelsea Clock Co. 1 Pendulum Weight Driven Wall Clock. It is currently not working but a simple service is all it needs to be up and running as all of the constituent parts are present and in working order. The case is oak and has had some refinishing done including what seems to be a new bottom pedestal. This clock, having a large dial and long drop, is a very popular form. The twelve inch white enameled non-crackable dial is painted on tin. This dial is in very good original condition and is signed boldly across the front “Chelsea Clock Company Boston”. The beat plate looks to be replaced. The movement is brass and die-stamped on the front plate in the upper right with the Makers name, Chelsea Clock Co.. It is also numbered 11017 in the upper left. It is weight driven and is designed to run for eight-days on a full wind. The brass plates are extra heavy insuring rigidity to the movement. The steel pinions are cut and polished, the pivots are hardened and polished. The escapement is a recoil format. The pendulum rod is wood and the bob is brass. The motion of this pendulum can be viewed through the lower door. This clock also retains the clockmakers original set up label. This can be seen pasted to the back of the door. Please see pictures for condition details as the photos are considered part of the description. These clocks were used extensively in the public school systems of cities like Boston, New York and Brooklyn. They were also used in the offices of various railroad companies, fire departments, etc. This early example measures 34 inches long, 16 inches wide and 5 inches deep. It was made in 1908. Antique Seth Thomas No. 71 Weight Driven Regulator Wall Clock. 68 Seconds Beating Weight Driven Movement. 13 White Enameled Dial with Black Roman Numerals. Quarter Sawn Oak Case with Double Key Locking Door Latches. Original Raised Brass Beat Scale. Original Pendulum and Weight. 60″T x 18″W x 8D. This lot comes to you AS-IS with no implied warranties or guarantees. This clock comes to you as found and it is in used condition. The clock has just been overhauled and the original movement is spotless and running just as it should keeping very accurate time. It has the ORIGINAL No. 68 seconds beat movement that is maintaining power and runs for 8-Days where each stroke of the pendulum is equal to 1 second or often referred to a 60-beat movement. The original white enameled 13 dial has been professionally restored many years ago and you can see the crazing of the underlying original painted surface. The blued finished original spade style hands are in good condition. The oak case shows off the beautiful quarter sawn grain on the backboard while the rest of the case is a beautiful medium oak finish that really highlights the grain of the wood. Both door latches work correctly and the glass appears original to the case as it has a waviness throughout. The only glaring defect I see on the case would be the small dent on the left edge of the door as shown. It is very small and goes almost undetected unless you point it out. Our inventory consists mainly of used items from 1 year old to 180 years old and usually have some type of mechanical motor or machine driving it. We do our best to describe them accurately however, we cannot foresee the future and old parts can break at any time without warning, and without visible flaw. We are a small family owned business and have been operating for over 19yrs. We believe in honest business practices similar to the NWACC sworn oath that is required for membership.
