Mitchell & Mott New York Inlaid Mahogany Tall Case Clock C. Mitchell & Mott Federal Mahogany Tall Case Clock. Henry Mitchell was in partnership with Jordan Mott at work in New York City at 27 Pearl Street Circa 1790 – 1809. This magnificent example stands 98 1/2″ Tall, 21 1/4″ wide and 10 1/2 deep. Early period tall case clocks from New York City are extremely rare and hard to find, so this represents an opportunity to acquire an original signed example. The “High Style” inlaid mahogany case has wonderful wood selection, contrasting satinwood string inlay, inlaid rosettes, and geometric inlaid capitals. Turned mahogany quarter columns flank the waist section of the case. The shaped waist door has a shaped arched top and wonderful oval inlay. The door lock is original, functions and comes with a key. The glass in the bonnet is original. The clock descended in the Hageman family of Montclair NJ and other than the appropriate bench made restored bracket feet, it is completely original. When we acquired the clock there was chipping in the dial at the dial posts and the posts were attached with screws. We had the dial touched up at the 4 dial posts and reset the dial feet. The movement is complete and in an excellent state of preservation. There are no replacements or solder repairs to the works. The clock runs and strikes just fine. The case has a delightful warm patina and the stepped molded base terminates on ogee bracket feet. The eight day works are typical of what you find in this area and are coupled to an early painted iron dial of English origin which is characteristic of the early clocks made in New York. Massive 1880 Antique Ormolu Bronze Enameled Case Automaton Musical Bracket Clock

Massive 1880 Antique Ormolu Bronze Enameled Automaton Musical Bracket Clock. An important, exhibition quality ormolu bronze bracket clock of massive proportions, the case decorated in Champlevé enamels and a variety of cast decorative elements that include a large urn and four full columns topped by acanthus buds, ladies faces on all four columns, egg and dart trim, four large detailed paw feet. The arched door with beveled glass opens to the clock face topped by an iridescent bird automaton within a painted diorama framed by an enameled bronze facade of tree foliage and accented by flora and fauna made from bird feathers. Champleve spandrels frame the clock dial, which is inset with four smaller dials to regulate the speed, chime, music and song. The large dial with black enamel roman numerals signed for the exclusive retailer Bailey, Banks and Biddle, Philadelphia and centered by an elaborate roundel of beautiful Champlevé enamels in high relief. Below the dial is an equally beautiful field of flowing tendrils in high relief Champlevé centered by an enameled shell motif. Mechanism : 3 individual mechanisms driving, clock, automaton and music. Clock – The movement is signed’W & H Sch. For Winterhalder & Hofmeier, Schwarzenbach. Chime strike on each quarter hour with Westminster chime quarterly on a series of wired gongs. Automaton located in the lower left side of the case, On each full hour strike, a 5 minute song and the automaton bird turns his head, flicks his tail and the beak opens and closes. The bellows for this function are in working condition. Music hidden inside the lower base, almost as big as the base itself, On the hour, it plays 2 minute music with at least four different songs. A set of 3 winding keys for each mechanism. Measurements: 37 x 22 x 14 inches. A Private collection; 2. Bailey, Banks & Biddle Co. Condition : the entire clock is its in original condition and all functions are working properly, overall in. Very good condition, some enamel loss to’clamshell’ above the automaton. Reference : Bailey, Banks and Biddle according to Wikipedia, Bailey & Kitchen, as it was originally known, was founded in Philadelphia in 1832. It becomes Bailey & Co. In 1841, and Bailey Banks & Biddle in 1878. At the turn of the century, Bailey Banks & Biddle was commissioned by the U. Government to update the Great Seal of the United States; its design today remains the official version of the seal. The company also designed and made many of the military medals that are still used today, including the Medal of Honor, the Silver Star, the Bronze Star and the Purple Heart. Ansonia Outside Escapement Porcelain Shelf / Mantle Clock In Royal Bonn Case

Estate fresh from a wealthy Oklahoma “oily” estate. This style case is several levels above your average “China” clock. The case is marked Royal Bonn, Germany. ” The case is marked “La Vendee and has several factory numbers and signing on the reverse of the case. The movement is well signed, has the Ansonia “A”, as well as the name spelled out. Apparently, the movement was made in New York and is so signed. Tran Duy Ly dates this clock Ca. 1904 in his book Ansonia Clocks and Watches. Tran shows three decoration variations. The clock strikes the hour and half hour on a gong, using a sounding board to improve the sound quality. The 5 porcelain dial is a two piece; designed to expose the outside escapement. The case has a beveled glass, and the original rear dust cover. There have some well done minor repairs to the clock. Please study the photos, because the pics are part of the description. Up for sale is an antique German Vienna regulator wall Clock. This one is by Junghans. The clock features a carved wooden case with finials and a top ornament. The brass pendulum is not original. We found a gong in the case. It appears that it will require re-attachment. A tag attached indicated that the movement was serviced last in 2007. The movement did wind properly and ran when tested however. This item is part of an inherited estate. We are not clock experts. Howard & Davis No. 1 Regulator Wall Clock, Boston, c. 1860, rosewood-grained case with turned wooden bezel over the 12 1/2-in. Painted iron roman numeral dial with seconds bit, hinged waist and base doors with half-round moldings frame the black and gold reverse-painted glasses, the lower opens to the weight baffle and tie-down. Signed/Die Stamped 8-day movement w/deadbeat escapement, maintaining power, Geneva stop & regulating assembly. Original cast iron weight and pendulum w/ over sized bob, 50 overall. This is the safest way to transport a clock like this. I will remove the weight and BOB from the case and wrap/pack it separately to protect the clock during transit. Ask any questions you may have. International Business Machines Master Clock Beautiful INVAR Pendulum Wood Case

International Business Machines Master Clock 1939. Model A 13 7. INVAR Double Cylinder Pendulum. Would make a great gift or keep it for yourself. This clock was still actually hooked up to wires in the house for whatever wattage the clock runs on, certainly not house current. This clock was made by International Business Machines (ITR) of Endicott, NY. This is their model “A 13 7″. The clock was made n 1939, per the serial number on the plate on the inside of the case. The clock has a beautiful “INVAR” pendulum on it, that was an innovation for it’s time, making the clock accurate within 15 seconds every month. Invar is a nickel-iron alloy that started being used in place of mercury in clock pendulums in the latter 1800s. Invar was considered much more accurate, and also less hazardous. We also have the instruction manual for the clock that comes in a small red three ring binder. The binder has the pre-printed manual, plus lots of pencil sketches of clock relevant items as well. Says No 226 and April 1938 in the manual at the top right of each page. Has “50” printed in the instruction book and there was that same number in chalk on the bottom of the case that we accidentally mostly wiped off when getting the dust off this beast. The wood case still has a lot of its’ original elegance. Some sun damage along the top front and To one side of the case. Other wear to finish in place from age. The locking latch for the doors are still on the the side, and the key to operate them comes with the clock. Hinges for the door are in working order. Door is securely attached to the rest of the case. Nice intact front glass piece on this case. All the glass is intact with no blistering or cracks. The clock face is made of tin and has “International” noted on it. Nice brass movement on this clock, see pic. This is not a mechanical key wound spring movement. The movement is wound by electricity, and then the beautiful pendulum keeps the movement running. Great pendulum rod and bob on this clock that look appropriate to the clock. Has a long silver colored metal rod. Then the twin cylinder silver colored metal bob. The movement ticks when the pendulum is started. The metal beat scale for determine case is level on wall is in place. The clock case stands 61.25″ tall, by 20″ across, by 8-3/8 wide. The clock face is 11.25 across. A 1960’s vintage Playboy Bunny complete costume & custom display + 2 interchangeable licensed Playboy rabbit head posters. Rabbit head logo cufflinks (2). Bunny bodice side laces (2). Multi-color “Andy Warhol” style repeated (smaller) rabbit heads poster. Custom “interactive” Lucite display case designed by a former Playboy bunny (me) & professionally constructed (OOAK) by a Chicago Lucite Artist. All components of the display are CLEAR, so without the posters installed, the contents are visible from every angle. It is sturdily designed to hang on a wall or sit on a solid surface. The front door swings open so everything inside is easily accessible. The costume & accessories are held in place with custom made clips – which do not pierce the fabrics like other Bunny costume shadow box displays I’ve seen The clips, hinges & door latch & rubber bumpers & nail hangers are all clear.
