Here is a recent estate find. This is a Rare Antique 19th Century Huge Dual Weight Driven German Victorian Vienna Regulator Wall Clock, made by The Gustav Becker Clock Company Germany, circa 1890. It has a Huge Ornate Walnut Wood Case with Decorative Side Columns and Fancy Topper, Complete with All Finials, Absolutely Stunning!!! The Dial is the Original Porcelain Dial with Black Roman Numerals in Good Condition! This has a Signed “Gustav Becker” Brass Mechanical “Time and Strike” Weight Driven Regulator’8 Day’ Key Wound Movement, with Cathedral Coil Spring Gong Chime that Strikes Once on the Half Hour, and the Correct Amount of Times on the Hour. There are Two Winding Arbors on the Dial, and It includes The Original Winding Key, and Large Brass Bob Adjustable Regulator Pendulum, and Two Brass Clock Weights. The Clock is Large and Measures approx. 47″ Tall x 14 1/2″ Wide x 6 1/2 Deep. The Clock Runs, But Will Need Adjustments. The Rear Backboard Has Bowed From Age, and The Clock Needs to Be Shimmed When Hung On The Wall on Top So The Pendulum Doesn’t Hit The Back Of The Case. Welcome to Antiques & Moore! THIS LISTING IS FOR A GORGEOUS LARGE ANTIQUE VICTORIAN PERIOD 10-TUNE CYLINDER ROLL MUSIC BOX WITH BEAUTIFUL INLAID DECORATION AND EBONIZED TRIM, c. This stunning music box has its original works encased in a lovely cabinet with inlaid design. The lid and front are decorated with a matching marquetry inlaid classical design of three instruments (harp, flute and horn) and sheet music surrounded by flower spray and foliage. The sides of the case are Rosewood with the top and base having ebonized trim and feet. Brass key hole on front, no key. The lithographed paper inside the lid lists 10 musical compositions with their composer’s name. This lovely music box has a wonderful sound although there is one missing tip (tooth) on the comb. The paper music sheet on interior of lid does have wear on the edges and corners and a tear, however, it is original to the box. Measures 7 3/8″ high, 24 1/2″ long and 10 1/4 deep. The case is in very nice condition although there is one small area on the upper right front corner with slight damage which does not show when lid is closed and one of the round ebonized feet has a rubbed area (see photos). No other noted damage or flaws. These minor flaws are consistent with normal wear and the age of the item. We have for your consideration an antique Barnes 19th century mortising machine. It is marked’W. & J Barnes Rockford, ILL. This is a foot-operated machine used to clean out a mortise. It features fantastic lion’s paw feet. All the knobs and bolts are free and moving as they should. There is original red pin striping that is 60-70% intact. The dimensions of this piece are 53″ tall x 56 5/16″ wide x 32 deep. It weighs 139 pounds. We believe it is a’Type 2′ version (there were 4 versions) of this machine that was made between 1880 and 1892. Type 2 added an additional wood platform to the cast iron table. Regarding the group of chisels and bits: All of the bits in the orange boxes are marked’DELTA Milwaukee’. There is also a bit without box that is marked’Delta Milwaukee 476-3. All of the chisels in the orange boxes are marked’Home Craft Power Tools. Most of these look lightly used. The tools in boxes match the labels on the boxes. There are five additional bits and chisels that are heavily used and one other part that we don’t know what it is for. The feet will be removed and the wooden crosspiece material support will be removed, so reassembly will be required upon receipt. This antique mortising machine is pre-owned. It is missing the spring that activates the foot peddle and this would need to be replaced to make this piece operational. The part of the base that supports the front left foot was broken off. It has been retapped in a stable manner so the leg can still be bolted on, but it sits back a bit further than the right leg. The piece still displays beautifully as is. Included is a group of chisels and bits, some of which are in their original boxes. Your satisfaction is always guaranteed. You really should take a look at things from the RoofTop – it just might change your whole perspective. Careful packaging is always a priority. About the item: Stunning full size antique carousel horse, c1890. It is beautifully carved in a’prancing’ style and the head is turned slightly to the left. There is lots of original metal work , including stirrups. There is a good amount of original paintwork giving just the right’distressed’ look. Overall condition is good in line with age and use. It is structurally sound with no loose joints etc. There is evidence of various historic repairs and some of the metal strap work is loose. The eyes look to be the original glass ones. The original horse hair tail has been replaced with leather but this could be easily rectified. It sits on a modern stand.
