Flemish Renaissance Religious Old Master Saint 1600’s Large Antique Oil Painting

Jean Daret”The Birth of the Virgin”, Flemish Renaissance, Religious Old Master, 1600’s Large Antique Oil Painting. A superb, large and fresh to the market original oil on canvas depicting the Birth of the Holy Mother Mary. Painted here as a domestic scene with Mary’s mother Anna resting in bed after the birth of her child and with her husband Joachim seated beside her. The baby Mary is cradled by two attendants with another nearby and a fourth woman is warming a blanket in front of the fire. Signed and dated,”J. Daret 1639” lower left. Condition is good commensurate with age, having been re-lined, cleaned and re-varnished. Minor paint loss associated with restoration and overall in good, restored condition. Housed in a good wide gilt contemporary frame. The image dimensions are approximately: 29 1/2” x 27 1/4” (75cm x 69cm). 1 F rom a private family collection in Paris, France. 2 Drouot, Paris, 10th June 2005, Lot no. 3 Bonhams, London, 24th October 2012, Lot no. Jean Daret was well known for his versatility in subject matter and was highly sought after for his religious works. Apprenticed to Anton Van Opstal in Brussels in 1625 he traveled throughout Italy and France decorating numerous cathedrals, churches and convents as well as private chapels and the homes of nobility. Vintage LARGE DRESDEN MIRROR Brass HOLIDAY WREATH 64 Animals Antique Bow Metal

GORGEOUS and RARE vintage Dresden brass wreath featuring 64 various animals, holidays and figures! The large wreath is rare with the brass bow & sweet ornate characters/animals of varying shades of brass -Perfect to hang all year long! What makes this wreath so AMAZING is the attached mirror! I debated about keeping it because Ive never seen one attached to a mirror as a collector! This bow-topped Dresden vintage brass wreath was created as a limited edition in the mid century. The company made specialty holiday wreaths with figures created from candy molds and Dresden ornament molds. The wreaths are handmade of brass metal with each figure placed on an individual brass wire that allows for gentle movement and placement of flowers and holiday adornments within your wreath as you customize to your exacting taste. No two are exactly alike. Measures roughly 16 tall with 64 characters. The characters are posable and could be repositioned to taste. The figures all have varying degrees of tarnish as this is a very old Dresden. One turkey figure is broken and is hanging unattached but wrapped around the wire so unnoticeable that its not originally affixed. The mirror could use a more thorough cleaning since I did a precursory one prior to pictures. The back has a crude wire for hanging. Please see all pictures for more specifics. WONDERFUL, original ANTIQUE German, c. 1890 , large SANTA papiermache (paper mache) candy container, all original, without repairs and in generally very good condition. He measure measures about, 10 12 high with removable head and torso half for storage of candies and gifts. The bottom half is weighted with his nicely detailed (although chipped) black boots which still bear the round: Made in Germany, blue label. On his back SANTA CLAUS carries his original large red, crepe paper bag and the original green paper “feather” tree with red berry. This attractive figure of St. Has realistically molded and painted features including thick eyebrows, blue eyes and painted wrinkles as well as a rabbit fur beard, mustache and hair beneath his dark red jacket with white trim, red stocking cap with matching white trim, BLUE trousers and black belt. What a FANTASTIC piece of Christmas tradition, treasured and well preserved. He can stand alone but is best supported with a stand and his boots would benefit from a bit of repair. He has had no repairs or repaint and has no odors and is from a smoke free home. Other items shown are not included and each listed separately. Large Chinese Republic Period Famille Rose Fish Bowl Planter Tobacco Peacock

LARGE CHINESE REPUBLIC PERIOD FAMILLE ROSE FISH BOWL PLANTER TOBACCO LEAF with PEACOCKS AND KOI FISH. The sticker on the interior of the bow reads: Made in the People’s Republic of China. 15 inches across the top. The diameter around the widest part of the bowl is 49 inches. The bowl does have a chip on one part. The chip is small but it is big enough to slightly see through. There is also a hairline crack running through the chip. The crack can be noticed a small amount on the exterior and is a little more noticeable on the interior. The interior crack extends about 12 inch and about 8 inches on the exterior. This is a pretty nice clock in good antique condition. Cuckoo clocks are beautiful examples of old world craftsmanship but should at least to me, be considered artful objects and not necessarily accurate. The clock runs and cucks for me now but will need to be carefully managed if acquired. Collectors will know this. The wood carving is excellent. About 17 inches deep not counting the pendulum.
