This horse measures about 46 long from butt to front leg. With the stand it is 67 tall. The horse itself is about 40 tall. It is in very good condition. Herschell Spillman Antique Wood Carousel Horse, “Blanket Jumper” circa 1915 with original Genuine Horse Hair Tail, Metal Horse Shoes and Pole on stand. This full wood horse was masterfully hand carved over 100 years ago by the Herschell-Spillman Company, one of the most celebrated names in the carnival world. It has been stripped of paint to show the integrity of wood-carving detail and wood condition. This figure is a “blanket jumper”, having all four feet off the ground in motion and a blanket carved under its saddle. It’s hooves, mane, saddle. Saddle blanket, head, ears, nostrils, mouth, breast collar, etc. Are beautifully detailed and quite expressive. Is what gives Herschell Spillman “Country Fair Style” figures such distinction and defines this American icon. He pole that it is on is the original one that once hooked it to the top of the carousel, used in the design of it’s special made stand. The horse can be rotated or taken off the pole. The stand comes apart into three pieces. This figure is from the merry-go-round at historic “Tiny Town” children’s amusement park in Los Angeles, California, operating from 1945 until 1956. The black and white pictures you see attached are from the actual. “Traveling style” carousel it came from. Which the National Carousel Association identified as a “portable Herschell-Spillman” model. A stunning artifact of American folk art.. Beautiful Antique Victorian Hanging Cast Iron Horse Lamp. EXCELLENT CONDITION from recent appraisal by The Antique Lamp store in Buffalo, New York. Late Victorian-era circa 1875, American, cast iron, kerosene burning (modified in later years to work with electricity), hanging lamp. Designed to hang on ceiling hook. Support chains loop around pulleys attaching the crown-shaped counter weight, which also holds the 14 opal glass slant shade designed to cast the light downward onto work areas. Lamp commonly referred to as an Iron Horse. Style and mechanics of operational are representational of late 19th century American kerosine lighting. Antique German Blue Santa Horse & Carriage 23 Store Display Candy Container

Wonderful rare German Christmas Display with Blue Santa candy container riding in his German Horse candy container pulling an antique covered carriage with the finest of details. This display measures 23 long when hooked up to horse for display, The long wood handle can sit on horse’s back to lift carriage off the ground and it is shorter in length as seen in the photos. The German Blue coat Santa with tan pants with basket on his back and opens in center for a candy container. Santa is 6.5 and has his original feather tree, rabbit fur beard, belt, and has his original blue Germany sticker on his boot. He is in good condition, light wear, some crazing, The carriage may be a salesman sample because of the tiny detailed metal framework, tiny wired lights with mica shades and the canvas working canopy. The brown cloth liner has been replaced inside, one light had the bracket broken and wired on, one of the metal awning frame piece has broken and been wired together. At one time the lights must have worked, they have wires cut from them. It is really an unusual carriage, it measures 15 x 11 x 6.5. The horse is flocked, neck opens for candy, has crack at upper right thigh, leather reins have missing parts, chains reach the carriage perfectly to hook on. The horse measures 9.5″ x 7.5″ and has 20 written in script on the neck liner. This is a double candy container, the Santa and Horse both open. Santa stands nicely inside the carriage floor and also next to the horse & carriage for display purposes. The carriage is not marked, came from France, not sure of the maker.
