One of my best conditioned cutlasses, from releasing my collection : A 1833 model all steel French Naval Boarding cutlass with scabbard with black painting all over the handle. The makers name and date of “Manufacture Rol de Chatellerault Nbre 1838 ” is engraved clearly and very visible in script on the back side of curved blade. You can see clearly the anchor engraved on one side and a remenant of the anchor on the other side that means the blade has possibly been polished in the past. There are 2 tiny armory inspection marks on the sleeve at the base of the blade. And 3 armory inspection marks on the thumb rest of the handguard. Overall, the sword and the leather scabbard is in exceptionell good antique condition. With very little spots and dots, no rost and nice patina on the brass fittings. The brass fitting on the guard side has a 4 millimeter dot. USA /Rest Int. Antique French Saint Crown Tiara. Pink & Green Facet Cut Glass Jewels. Made in France during the 19th Century, the crown is set with facet cut glass jewels representing: 19 pink tourmalines; 21 emeralds; 3 rubies; and dozens of rhinestone. Detailed with gilded brass flowers and leaves, the adjustable headband has 14 notches to adjust the size. The previous owner frequently wore the tiara to gala formal events. MEASUREMENTS: The tiara is 6 inches in diameter as shown with plenty of room for expansion. The decorated area is 12 inches long and 4 inches at the highest point. Weighs 8.2 ounces. CONDITION: Very good estate condition. No missing stones or parts. It has some typical verdigris from age and a repair to the backside of the tiara on the far right side. This is a stunning antique, french figural clock statue from the late 1800’s. The signed movement is by AD Mougin who was a premier French clockmaker of his time. The statue is signed by Aug. Moreau whose French family made world renowned statues. The combination is very beautiful as well as collectable. Green Onyx base with overall bronzed metal surface that is flaking in some areas. The clock’s 8 day movement runs and strikes very well. The clock is in wonderful, strong condition for its age. Height is 26″, 16″ wide and 12 deep.
