The clock is made in Germany around 1885 by Gustav Becker or Friedrich Mauthe. There is a number on the back of the movement as seen in other pictures. Very sturdy and solid movement, works fine and keeps correct time as per its age with a great gong sound. There are 3 fishes on both the sides of dial rim with a flower in the center. Its a collectible clock. This clock also works as a REPEATER clock. It stricks the number of hours passed when the string is pulled next to the dial. Measures 73 High, 22 Wide, and 12 Deep. Superb Fully Restored Antique (ca. 1900) Vienna Wall Clock HAC Striking Movement

Superb Fully Restored Antique ca. 1900 Vienna Wall Clock HAC Striking Movement. Presented here is another fully restored, beautifully designed and neatly decorated Victorian period Vienna Wall clock, powered by a two train. (8 day) which is dated around late 19. This medium sized Vienna drop dial clock is full of attractive features in its case. It decorative details has been repaired/restored, and waxed carefully to reflect its previous splendid glory, whilst attempting to maintain its century long patina with lovely colour tone. The movement has been. Stripped off and ultrasonically. It is truly presented in excellent antique condition, in great working order. It will be an eye-catching piece of antique nicely fitting to any living room wall. The all-solid wood case (Mahogany for front and pine for back) has glasses at three sides to show off/protect its bronze movement, the two sectioned circular enamel/bronze dial and original matching R&A pendulum. The single side hooked front door has a large flat glass to reveal the dial and pendulum swings, and two sides glass to show case the movements. Please look at the photos for details of the decorative features of the hand-carved/painted wood works, from the top, side, to the bottom. All the finials are present and believed to be original. The case has been subject to careful polished and waxed, from inside outside, is presented in splendid, shiny, attractive antique condition. Video link will be followed. The two-parted dial is separated by two gilded bronze rings, consisting of a circular enamel chapter ring with black Roman numerals showing the time and a central embossed brass plate. The enamel chapter ring is in excellent condition. The black cross-arrow logo was printed on the inner brass plate. Two blackened, framed, original steel hands are used to pointing to the time. A classic matching two-sectioned R-A pendulum swings and regulates the time. It has been dated to around 1900, most likely before 1900, with an internal counter wheel for the striking. The movement is either 8- or 14 days (I really cannot count for all the clocks under testing). Overhaul ultrasonically and necessary repairment. Of the mechanism has been carried out (see photos). The clock now ticks beautifully and strikes at the half and full hours. It strikes via a bronze hammer on a steel coiled gong fixed to the back which is visible from the side windows. All clocks on sale have been tested for weeks and come with a pendulum and working winding key. In this case, the clock comes with the original pendulum and an antique steel/brass winding key that came with it (not sure if it is original). The clock is a medium size, compared with other Vienna wall clocks. Measures 34-inch long, 13-inch wide, and 7-inch thick (86 x 33 x 18 cm). For the maximum sizes. There are signs of wears and tear marks to the case, but nothing that detracts from its overall beauty that comes with age; however you be the judge from the photos which forms an essential part of the description. I will pack the clock as careful as possible to make sure it arrives safely, to avoid damaging the extruded finials in transportation. Any questions, don’t hesitate to ask, ANY TIME! This is a pretty nice clock in good antique condition. Cuckoo clocks are beautiful examples of old world craftsmanship but should at least to me, be considered artful objects and not necessarily accurate. Massive 1880 Antique Ormolu Bronze Enameled Automaton Musical Bracket Clock. An important, exhibition quality ormolu bronze bracket clock of massive proportions, the case decorated in Champlevé enamels and a variety of cast decorative elements that include a large urn and four full columns topped by acanthus buds, ladies faces on all four columns, egg and dart trim, four large detailed paw feet. The arched door with beveled glass opens to the clock face topped by an iridescent bird automaton within a painted diorama framed by an enameled bronze facade of tree foliage and accented by flora and fauna made from bird feathers. Champleve spandrels frame the clock dial, which is inset with four smaller dials to regulate the speed, chime, music and song. The large dial with black enamel roman numerals signed for the exclusive retailer Bailey, Banks and Biddle, Philadelphia and centered by an elaborate roundel of beautiful Champlevé enamels in high relief. Below the dial is an equally beautiful field of flowing tendrils in high relief Champlevé centered by an enameled shell motif. Mechanism : 3 individual mechanisms driving, clock, automaton and music. Clock – The movement is signed’W & H Sch. For Winterhalder & Hofmeier, Schwarzenbach. Chime strike on each quarter hour with Westminster chime quarterly on a series of wired gongs. Automaton located in the lower left side of the case, On each full hour strike, a 5 minute song and the automaton bird turns his head, flicks his tail and the beak opens and closes. The bellows for this function are in working condition. Music hidden inside the lower base, almost as big as the base itself, On the hour, it plays 2 minute music with at least four different songs. A set of 3 winding keys for each mechanism. Measurements: 37 x 22 x 14 inches. A Private collection; 2. Bailey, Banks & Biddle Co. Condition : the entire clock is its in original condition and all functions are working properly, overall in. Very good condition, some enamel loss to’clamshell’ above the automaton. THE PORCELAIN DIAL OVERALL IS VERY NICE AS YOU CAN SEE. THERE IS SOME CHIPPING BETWEEN THE 4 AND 2 , NOT TOO BAD BUT WORTH MENTIONING. THE BEVELED GLASS IS THE ORIGINAL , FINE TOWARDS THE OUTSIDE , BUT AT THE CENTER THERE ARE SCRATCHES AND I HAVE NO IDEA WHY , VERY ODD. CASE IS EXCEPTIONAL WITH INLAY IN THE FRONT , NO MAJOR FLAWS JUST A COUPLE SPOTS ON THE TOP LEFT. THE CHIMES SOUND NICE AND CRISP ON A TALL COIL GONG AS SHOWN. IT COUNTS THE HOURS OUT ON TOP OF THE HOUR…… AND CHIMES JUST ONCE AT THE BOTTOM OF THE HOUR. THE FASTER / SLOWER ADJUSTMENT IS ON THE DIAL (F / S) BELOW THE #12 , USE THE SMALL END OF THE KEY SHOWN….. THE CLOCK RUNS GREAT AND KEEPS EXCELLENT TIME! ANTIQUE CLOCK FOR MANY YEARS TO COME…. AND NO DISAPPOINTMENTS AT ALL AND YOU WILL LOVE THIS CLOCK! NOTE : The presentation plate on the bottom is from 1915 as you can see , and we always left it alone.
