Antique German Black Forest Shelf Mantel Cuckoo Clock

Antique German Black Forest Shelf Mantel Cuckoo Clock. This clock has been cleaned and oiled and tested to ensure working excellent. The clock when wound runs for about 3 days. I think it’s a 7 or 8 day so 3 days is less than what it should be. The cuckoo bird door has been adjusted and may need repair at some point in the future. Please review all photos. As with any clock there may need minor adjustments required when it reaches your home. The clock measures approximately 20 1/2″ tall x 7″ deep x 11 1/2 wide. The clock hands are bone and one of the hands has been very well repaired. The original key hole bone trim is still present. The crown is a custom hand carved reproduction which was hand stained to beautifully match the clock trim. The clock has a cuckoo/gong chime on the hour and half hour. The cuckoo looks original and in working condition. There is an original label on the back of the clock. The winding key is included. Beautiful Seth Thomas Antique Adamatine Mantel Clock Works & Chimes Well

Absolutely beautiful antique Seth Thomas mantle clock. It has faux marble columns and comes with the pendalum and key. The clock chimes once every hour with a separate one-chime on the half-hour. The dimensions are 16″ w x 10″ h x 6″ d (or from back foot to front metal foot it is 7″). One of the back columns is broken and is loose. I tried to capture that in the photo, but it is hard to tell from the photo. I would recommend getting it professionally cleaned. It works well as is. We only have one clock repair person in our area and his waiting list is over 6 months… I did get him to briefly check it out and he said it is working properly. I found this at an estate sale, so I don’t know a lot of history behind it. Antique Eli Terry and Sons Pillar & Scroll c1825 Mantel Clock Original Glass

Beautiful antique Pillar & Scroll made by Eli Terry and Son Clock Company of Connecticut about 1825. The veneer is tight to the case and excellent for a 194 year old American antique. The old hands are delicate and the original hand painted wood dial features raised gesso spandrels highlighted in gold leaf. The massive wood movement looks original to the case. The original glass surface of the reverse painted glass does not have any chips or cracks and has a nice slight warp, a characteristic marker of early 19th century cylinder glass. Kind of amazing it survived so well over time. The clock has a pendulum bob and rod, key, two weights and brass finials. The top crest and the bottom fretwork look right to me. The tips of the scrolls have been carved and repaired. Really nice clock makers label. The clock has been in storage for a long time and is untested. Its about 25 tall.
