Antique Victorian Era 1896 Raphael Tuck & Sons Calendar. “Golden Words from the Bible”. All pages die cut, only the front cover embossed. 12 beautiful pages highlighting a different passage from the Bible, as well as different seasonal flower or plant and pastoral scenes on each page. Great condition with minimal damage. Many of the corners show just a bit of wear. There are a few corners that have developed creases, one of which (bottom left hand corner of the front cover) has been lost. No text of color went with the corner fortunately. Perpetual calendar mechanism which accountsfor the different lengths of the months and leap year. This clock iscomplete and original and I have printed out the originalinstructions from 1890 and have the # of the last Ithaca clockrep. ! I have mounted the pendulum bob and wound the springs, and theclock ran and chimes loudly. Comes with 2 keys. The upper movement isthe usual Welch movement with club-foot escape wheel. It is signedWelch, but also has the “Made for the Ithaca Calendar Company”stamping on the left leg. The lower mechanism is complete without anyproblems that I can see. This is a Great C. 1870 Seth Thomas / Southern Calendar Clock Co. This Clock was made by Seth Thomas Clock Co. For the Southern Calendar Clock Co. Which marketed the “Fashion Clocks” to Rural Farmers. The Label on the inside says that it was put into service in 1876. Clock Comes with Pendulum and Key. Look at Images as They are Part of the Description. This Clock Features an 8 day, Time and Strike Brass Movement with the Double Dial Calendar Movement. It is Running as I Speak! This is a Rare Antique Working 19th Century ITHACA 8 Day Victorian Walnut Parlor Mantel Shelf Double Dial Calendar Clock, Made by the Ithaca Calendar Clock Company Ithaca NY USA. This is the Ithaca Clock Company Model No. 10 Farmer’s Clock Circa 1875. This has a Signed E. Welch Brass Mechanical 8 Day Time & Strike Key Wind Movement. This has a Cathedral Coil Spring Gong Chime which Strikes Correctly. It Has a H. Horton Patented Perpetual Calendar Mechanism. The Case is a Classic Americana Style Victorian Walnut Wood Case. This Has The Original Signed Ithaca Paper Over Tin Double Dial Dial with Day and Date Lower Calendar Dial with Original Rollers. The Clock Measures approx. 21 1/4″ Tall x 11 3/4″ Wide x 4 3/4 Deep.
