SEE PICTURES FOR DETAILS. THERE WERE TWO NAMES IN THE COLLECTION. ONE IS ALICE C WILSON. A SECOND NAME I FOUND WAS HARRIOTT CHARLOTTE HOWARD. A DATE ASSOCIATED WITH HOWARD WAS 1791 AND WAS INCLUDED WITH A HAND WRITTEN BOOK OF POETRY. THESE BEING FROM 1840’S ROUGHLY I DOUBT SHE WAS THE ARTIST. THE ITEMS ASSOCIATED WITH ALICE WILSON ARE DATED 1890’S. SEE MY OTHER LISTINGS. UNCERTAIN WHO PAINTED THESE BUT THE COLLECTION IS HIGH QUALITY. SOME HAVE GLUE MARKS ON THE BACK. SOME HAVE PAPER LOSS. Authentic Antique Dan-Kran (also Dan-Ngere or Dan-Wé), Ivory Coast, Vintage-41.5/27.7 CM. Dan-Kran (also Dan-Ngere or Dan-Wé), Ivory Coast, Vintage Hand Carved-35.6/14 CM Mask dancers with such chimpanzee masks, hooked sticks, and wearing Mask broad full-body costumes, perform at dance Mask feasts in the villages of the Dan-Kran Mask to provoke and’heat up Mask’ the public with wild jumping and coarse jokes Mask. The chimpanzee mask offered here is made of lightweight, light-coloured wood and dyed black. It shows the typical form of these’kagle masks': the semicircular and flat forehead protruding forwards, with a diagonal line at the border, beneath this, deep-set, slit eyes (here with three holes each for a former metal framing), a broad nose between protruding cheekbones at the sides, and a large, open mouth with broad pouting lips. Peculiarities of this special object are the three holes beneath both eyes, intended for an earlier metal outline (now lost), the relief band originally coloured in white on the bridge of the nose, the red dyed tongue in the open mouth and the relief bands on the inside of the thick lips. Also the exterior sides of both cheeks display relief decoration. SIZE OF THE MASK. 41.5/27.7 CM. An original patina covers the item. An original 19th century pair of French original Opaline Crystal lusters in a rare celeste blue color having Inverted tops and a nice large size of 11 with what looks like Baccarat Crystal hanging prisms. No breaks or cracks or chips. Some of the hanging prisms have minor chips. The best Opaline lusters I have ever seen. Amazingly there are no chips or cracks or breaks or repairs. VINTAGE VERY RARE UNBRANDED BUT KEYSTON DESIGN COPPER/BRONZE TONED ANTIQUE OLDER STYLE CA. 1940’S AMERICAN COWBOY BELT BUCKLE FEATURING RANCH BRANDS, BUCKING BRONCO BUSTER, AND LONGHORN STEERS- This fantastic very old antique American cowboy belt buckle has developed a wonderful copper & bronze toned patina over the many decades since it was made. We cannot see any maker or material hallmarks on it, but the design and quality is exceptionally nice. A special thank you goes out to the helpful Ebayer who sent us a photo of this exact design that he owns in Sterling silver that was hallmarked by Keyston, San Francisco. So, this one is either an early unhallmarked Keyston or an exact copy of their Design. It features an older style clasp as we show in the photos, and the combination of ranch brands, Longhorns and Bronco buster at the center is rare and very artistic. So is the lasso rope border!!
