What’s the difference? We know vast majority of people dont really differentiate the two terms nowadays but there is actually a huge difference between them. Certified Rare Engraved Shaman Ceremonial Tablet COA & Appraised

Certified, Extremely Rare Engraved. (Incised) Ceremonial/Shaman Tablet with Incised Face. From the Famous B. This rare Shamans Tablet has been attributed to the mound builders. Statute covering cultural patrimony Code 2600, Chapter 14. Artifact Info: This ceremonial tablet has been identified and termed as a Shamans Tablet due to the features of this artifact versus a standard paint palette. Line and geometric engravings cover the front to include an incredible human face emerging from the stone (gives it a 3D appearance), and line engravings appear on the back. The face symbols are Mississippian iconography. The symbol around the eye represents weeping and is known as an eye surround or forked eye symbol, which is well documented in scientific papers. The face also contains a distinct feature of just one eye. The symbolic missing eye could be interpreted as an injury resulting in the loss of an eye, or a birth deformity. Evident above the face is a 2-1/2 inch diameter circular depression, 1/4 inch deep, with residue stains in which this area was likely used as a mortar for grinding pigments or entheogens (plant material) for Shamanistic practices. This is a Rare artifact and is the only Shaman’s tablet currently in existence that contains a human face. There have been a few Ceremonial Tablets recovered that are currently in museums. The majority of the tablets are round. Archaeological documentation notes that rectangular tablets are rare. This artifact takes the rarity to the next level with the human face emerging from the stone. This artifact is fully in-tact, has some nicks in various places (please review pictures). Found in Colbert County Alabama, by Tennessee River, in 1901 (faded writing on front appears to read F Rice, Colbert County Alabama 1901). Size: Large 11-3/4 inches long x 9-1/16 inches wide x 5/8 inch thick. Stone: Tight grained sandstone. Color: Medium Green/speckled (camera flash used on some pictures to show detail make artifact appear lighter color). Incised carvings of geometric symbols. Incised carving of an incredible human face. Incised symbols on the face. This artifact is identified and documented in the famous B. This particular artifact has undergone scientific testing for a week to insure authenticity. Every inch of this tablet has been analyzed and has been confirmed as 100% authentic. The provenance documentation of this artifact from 1965, scientific Infrared Laser Spectroscopy, high definition microscopic analysis, archaeological consultation and expert appraisal analysis has certified this artifact to be genuine and 100% authentic. Up for sale is a very rare and beautiful antique gold gilt sterling silver and enamel Egyptian pharaoh figural chatelaine or watch fob pencil. The loop has a hallmark that I cannot make out. The pharaoh measures 2 3/4 long. The exterior of the pharoah is in excellent condition. The pencil does not extend, and it needs an adjustment. Pair (2) Mid Century Modern Vintage GRUVWOOD Lamps Walnut Black Metal Eames Era

Excellent pair of lamps in working condition, really lucky to find a matching pair and in such great condition. See photos for measurements, they are approximately 26 tall to the top of the harp. Some history of the Gruvwood style. Manufactured by National Products of Louisville, the Gruvwood line of lamps was selected for the 1964 Worlds Fair to be featured in the House of Good Taste. The line was subsequently used by leading mid century American and European designers of the day in their decor. The name “Gruvwood” came from the use of strips or squares of walnut hardwood that were separated by 45 degree angled gaps. The lamps show light evidence of use, a few minor rubs to the black metal trim on top and bottom, an easy fix with a dab of marker or paint. The walnut is in great shape as shown in photos. 2 different switch mechanisms, not sure which came first but one was obviously changed at some point. The protective felt bases are no longer there but you can see remnants around the edges of the bases. Please see our other mid century Gruvwood lamp listings.
