Figural Bitters Bottle, approximate 1-Quart capacity, Philadelphia, PA origin, ca. Full-figured Indian Maiden form with sheared mouth and smooth base. Blown in attractive shades of (golden, light & medium) Amber glass. Embossed BROWNS / CELEBRATED / INDIAN HERB BITTERS within the oval shield panel and PATENTED / 1867 on reverse, near the base. The photos are probably the best description. Condition : Very Good overall with strong embossing clean exterior/interior and attractive coloration. Imperfections are noted below. Small chip on right foot with an associated hairline crack that extends both into the base & across into left shin (see close-ups #9 & #10). Typical roughness on the sheared mouth noted for descriptive accuracy. See photos for complete details and please consider them as part of the description. Antique New York Time Clock General Time Recorder Clock Exchange Chelsea NYC

The clock also comes with the time card holder and a box of time cards that were used in the New York City shop that it came from. The clock is not currently working, but could easily be restored to working condition. It still rings a bell when you pull the timestamp lever! Rare Style Antique Plains Native American Pipe Tomahawk

This is Rare Style Antique Plains Native American Pipe Tomahawk. This particular style is known as the bat-wing for the shape of one the piercings that resemble the shape of a bat. These tomahawks were more obscure and especially made for high ranking chiefs, war chiefs and particularly notable leaders. The war club tomahawk features an exceptional hand-forged iron head with bat-wing cut-out and beaded drop. The forge seams are visible on both sides of the blade and the piece shows a truly fine high-quality craftsmanship. The head exhibits a fine rich deep patina evenly over the entire surface. The original haft is constructed from carved hard wood and brass tacks. The entire surface of the wood shows a nice deep patina. Haft Length – 24.5 in. Blade – 10.0 x 3.5 in. This is a beautiful and interesting Pipe Tomahawk for any collectors. Let me know if you have any questions. Antique Carousel Horse Looff Outside Jumper 1900-1905 $23,000

In a very good condition. Original paint was stripped (we bought it this way). It is 54 tall x 70 long about 17 wide in the chest. Originally came from somewhere in NY, end of 80s was in a private collection in Oregon, after that- in California. Possibly carved by Charles Carmel. (suggestion by Karen Mears, curator of Museum of Carousel Art and History). The square nostrils, the jaw, the way the head is cocked suggests that it couldve been done by C. Below is a clip from an article re. Keansburg, NJ Carousel Question. Fortunately, the former / original owners have taken over again. The horses were replaced with fiberglass ones and you really can’t see anything of the original carousel anymore. The small one at the kiddie park remains intact with it’s small metal horses. Occasionally you can find a Keansburg Carousel horse on line. I bought my horse from them (yes, a Keansburg horse that I names Shorty after the carousel operator in the early 1960s)Hope this helps you. Antique Chelsea Clock Company No. 1 Pendulum Wall Clock #11017 ca. 1900-1904

Beautifully refurbished Antique Chelsea Clock Co. 1 Pendulum Weight Driven Wall Clock. It is currently not working but a simple service is all it needs to be up and running as all of the constituent parts are present and in working order. The case is oak and has had some refinishing done including what seems to be a new bottom pedestal. This clock, having a large dial and long drop, is a very popular form. The twelve inch white enameled non-crackable dial is painted on tin. This dial is in very good original condition and is signed boldly across the front “Chelsea Clock Company Boston”. The beat plate looks to be replaced. The movement is brass and die-stamped on the front plate in the upper right with the Makers name, Chelsea Clock Co.. It is also numbered 11017 in the upper left. It is weight driven and is designed to run for eight-days on a full wind. The brass plates are extra heavy insuring rigidity to the movement. The steel pinions are cut and polished, the pivots are hardened and polished. The escapement is a recoil format. The pendulum rod is wood and the bob is brass. The motion of this pendulum can be viewed through the lower door. This clock also retains the clockmakers original set up label. This can be seen pasted to the back of the door. Please see pictures for condition details as the photos are considered part of the description. These clocks were used extensively in the public school systems of cities like Boston, New York and Brooklyn. They were also used in the offices of various railroad companies, fire departments, etc. This early example measures 34 inches long, 16 inches wide and 5 inches deep. It was made in 1908.
