Antique linen duvet cover from grandma’s trousseau. It slumbered in a laundry chest for decades. Handwoven strong checked linen. Colors are white and dark blue. It is over 100 years old and comes from a farm. It is closed with six old ribbons. Never used, never washed. The finish is still there. Size cover: 175 cm x 180 cm. 69 inches x 71 inches Total length of fabric = 360 cm or 142 inches The cover has two seams (70 cm seam – 70 cm seam -35 cm) (28 inch seam – 28 inch seam – 13 inch) It’s because the looms weren’t that wide. Linen fabrics bring nature into the home. Linen is durable, dirt-repellent, warming in winter and cooling in summer. Linen is the perfect fabric.
