Description : An early No. 1080 Combination Plane, Sargent & Company, New Haven, CT, maybe 1920s? This looks similar to the Stanley 45, but well beyond the scope of my expertise. Comes with original wooden box and everything shown. The canvas case contains (23) various cutters including plow & dado, beading, rabbet, sash, etc. There is also an additional fence and set of long rods. Appears mostly complete except for possibly a knob, short rods and some adjustment screws. The photos are probably the best description. Parts have not been cleaned. There is a small loss at the top of the wooden handle. All the cutters appear to be in Very Good to Excellent condition. I think they can also be used in the Stanley version. Note: the included Sargent 1080/1085 product manual is a photocopy of the an original. See photos for complete details and close-ups. Please consider them as part of the description. Box measures 11-3/4L x 7-1/4D x 3-3/4H overall, not including the leather strap handle. Relatively heavy; the total weight of the lot is 8.8lbs!
