Antique Bell system 1950, s phone booth, WE 3 slot payphone working light & fan

Here is a nice early 1950, s Maple or light walnut Wood Payphone Booth with a WE rotary 3 slot payphone model # 223G and a working dome lite and blower when door is closed. The booth is in very good condition. The inside porcelain enamel interior is excellent with no scratches or abrasions. The outside panels show the patina of a 70 year old booth as the pictures show. The left and right side outer panels also have lower brass kick plates. Sometime in its life a directory book was installed with a chain with a shelf on one of the sides. The payphone also makes the chimes when quarters, dimes, nickels are inserted. Both the dome light and air circulating blower work when the door is closed. The upper dome light and blower door control parts are original as can be seen in the pictures. 83″ high by 29″ wide by 31 deep. Has to be picked up. PLEASE ASK ANY QUESTIONS. 1920s Gentlemans Elswick Popular Truss Light Roadster Vintage Antique Bicycle

Over the next month I’ll advertise a variety of vintage bicycles and you are. Welcome to make (realistic) offers on them. 1920s Gentlemans Elswick Popular Truss Light Roadster. RARE SURVIVOR, READY TO RIDE. Ladies & Gents versions in. The crossed tubes of an Elswick patent truss frame, produced by the company from 1892/1893 onwards, were claimed to give greater rigidity to a bicycle. Apparently the direct strain from head to bracket was dealt with more thoroughly and strains from twisting were also combated, creating an infinitely more rigid frame. Whether it improved the bicycle or not, there was a good case for creating unique features in bicycles so they stood out in the crowd and attracted extra attention from the cycling press. Elswick’s twisted down tubes becsme their signature feature. Frame strength was a key issue of the day: frames were getting lighter by the year, and cycle enthusiasts were keen to put new designs through their paces to find their stress points. As well as crossframes, many of the top manufacturers were adding extra tubes to their diamond frame bikes to add psychological strength to the machine, ie to make it appeal to riders who felt they needed a stronger frame on their bike: large bikes had two top tubes, Royal Enfield was successful with their Girder frames, and Premier used an extra tube in the opposite direction to the Girder. Elswick did also try out the American Iver Johnson patent design, described by them as a truss-tube, but also known as an arch-frame. The Popular Truss twisted down tube design is featured on both the Gentlemen’s diamond frame machine and Ladies’ loopframe. This rare Elswick Popular Truss is in an older restoration in good condition and ready to ride. More photos and details at the Online Bicycle Museum. OWNER: The Online Bicycle Museum. Antique Victorian Miller Hanging Oil Library Kerosene Parlor Ceiling Lamp Light

Up for sale is a beautiful Victorian kerosene hanging parlor or library ceiling light. The oil font is marked on the bottom with EM & Co and I believe a number. Then this was hand painted by a skilled artisan and the shade and font are matching. There is no pull down mechanism in the top they have the hanging chains attached as pictured. There are 40 hanging crystals around the bottom of the top shade. The glass shade measures 14″ across the bottom and the entire lamp is from the ceiling cover to the bottom of the bracket is approximately 40″. There are no cracks, chips or any other damage to any of the glass. There are a couple of dings on the top of the collar on the oil font. Very cool antique light fixture, featuring a large shade of milk glass, solid brass fixture. Fixture retains original patina, a bit of paint and wear, light dents and a missing screw, but still displays very nicely with this wonderful large shade. New socket and heavy duty original antique cloth covered wiring (never used before, excellent, like new condition). Great for an entry way or over a large table, cool 30s art deco vibe. Measures 24″ drop and 13″ across the shade. 6 fitter (very hard to find in good, usable condition). Socket will take 100 watt bulbs or more if using an LED bulb. Includes original antique mounting hardware. Our items come from antique stores and auctions, many times we do not know the origin of our lights so some parts may be contemporary while some parts are very antique.
