Rare FITZGERALD STAR Antique Fan 8 Electric Vintage 1900’s Nickle Plated. Fan is in good condition. Looks to still have it’s original cloth cord that is in good condition. We did replace the worn felt on the bottom of the fan with new period correct felt. We did take off the fan blade to clean it and put it back on but from what we read we did put it on backwards. This fan has a unique feature of a reverse fan mounting. Fan is untested because it does not have it’s replaceable motor brushes in it. Not sure type they take. This would be a great project to finish. Please look at all of the pictures closely and judge the condition, size and content of this lot for yourself as our photos are a large portion of our description. Antique Edison Bipolar Electric Fan Vintage 1890’s Rare Original Works See Video

Here is an opportunity to add a rare and historic Edison bipolar fan to your collection. This example is stunning and works like a champ. The paint is 100% all original and untouched. There are 2 videos below that show the fan working. The faster video is running at the fan’s rated voltage of 6 volts DC, and the second video of it running slowly at just 2.5 volts DC. The blade on the fan is 100% original. There is a small crease in one of the blades that is so hard to notice that it barely can be photographed, but the last picture shows the area with a red circle around it. An experienced metalsmith could easily correct this without damage to the original patina, but it is very hard to see, but I always try to represent items as best I can. The cage on the fan is an expertly made exact replica, which has been professionally patina’d to match. The cage attachment screws are original to the fan. Most of these are found with both the blade and cage missing, this one the blade is absolutely original. The paint on this example is stunning, few are found in such a nice original state. The battery terminals and thumbscrew switch are perfect and the red fiber insulation disc that the terminals attach to is 100% perfect with no damage. These are often broken and glued back together, and in the case of some examples gone completely and otherwise rigged to work. This one is flawless. This will not be the case here, you will not be disappointed! It is not cheap to so it right (due to the final package size) but it is well worth it! Video will open in a new window. Automatic Electric Type 80. The dial has been fully disassembled, cleaned, lubed and timed to ensure years of trouble free service. A black powder coated finger wheel and dial card have been added. The accordion door, when closed, activates a fan and a light. They both turn on automatically, however the fan can be turned off with a switch. Both are in fully functional order. The right side (when facing it) is fully finished, and the left side is finished with a frame only – where an advertisement or bulletin board would go inside. The frame is currently empty. You can see the shortening, vent, and frame damage in the photos. The interior and doors are in fantastic shape – everything works well, moves smoothly, and looks great. We have had it in our home for over 40 years, as a fixture of both our basement recreation area and our family room throughout the decades. It’s a much-loved piece that has always been a favorite of friends and family. We are downsizing and do not have room anymore, so unfortunately need to part with this unique piece. It’s built to last, and has the weight to prove it. 30 3/4″ wide x 30 3/4″ deep x 80.5 tall. Circa 1890 Slag glass Gas Lamp converted to electric. This is a large and unique antique, please feel free to message me with any questions, they will be. The patents that were visible date to the 1890’s but this was only on the sockets which were added at a later date than the initial crafting of the lamp , gas lamps that were crafted during that era are known to have not been signed, I have looked for a maker mark without success , but there were particular areas I chose not to venture for fear of the obvious. Note; cleaning this item was a 5 hour project, it had been in storage for 20+ years, no cleaners or buffers were used, only damped rag with warm water and couple drops of Dawn dish-washing liquid, dry clothes , and Q-tips. 12 Antique Interior Conduit Electric Desk Fan

Measuring from the base to the top of the motor is 11 1/4 high. The Pancake style motor is 6 1/2 in diameter. The brass blades are 12 in diameter. It had been in storage for many, many decades. Blades spin freely with no noises. Blades are pretty much straight but may need a little bit of tweaking. Cage is a little bent. Motor and base have no cracks and have a lot of the original paint, but also has rust. Speed control lever works. The brass tag on the side of the base that reads. INTERIOR CONDUIT & INSULATION CO. 7200 ALTERNATION 104 VOLTS PATENTS PENDING. On ceramic base is: CONNECT HEAR. The cord is cracked and decayed and unusable. Untested as I would have to rewrite the power cord and I have no source of 104 Volt power. This will be professionally packaged and insured. This beautiful Emerson fan is an exquisite example that is over 100 years old. The fan originally worked great, but the plug end fell off and needs rewiring. The fan does have wear from age. The cord has been taped with electrical tape at some point, it may need to be replaced. It looks like it was meant to be bolted down to something. It didn’t oscillate when it did work.
