LARGE 43 RARE ANTIQUE HAND CARVED WOOD OUR LADY MARY MADONNA & JESUS STATUE. Authentic and genuine from Germany! More details about it below.. Please view the photos as they are part of the description. She is wearing a crown and is standing on the snake. Jesus is holding the orb and is blessing. Both have suffered a lot and look very weathered. On some parts the whole limescale inclduing the paint has come off allready. The crown is damadged as well. But still, it has something very special. Her facial expression is full of gentleness and permeates the viewer with piety. I absolutly love the patina. The statue was made out fo different parts and the sculptor glued it together. It might be hollow and maybe a relic is stored in it like scultors often did back in the days.. A unique contemporary witness of the past. My grandfather placed it in the hallway nearby the fireplace in the basement. Touching it was forbidden for me as a small child under penalty of punishment :. Weight: 14,4 kg. Materials and Technique: It is full round sculptural hand carved out of the finest wood and made of different parts. Technique used surface: limescale, painted and by hand. THIS IS AN AMAZING 19TH CENTURY LATE VICTORIAN CARVED WOOD CRUCIFIX OR CRUCIFIXION SCENE FROM BAVARIA GERMANY. THIS IS A CARVED WOOD AND POLYCHROMED SCENE WITH ALL THE FIGURES INTACT. IT FEATURES JÉSUS ON THE CROSS AS WELL AS THE VIRGIN MARY , SAINT JAMES AND AN ANGEL AS WELL AS THE FIGURE OF CHRIST IN THE TOMB BELOW. THE ENTIRE SCENE IS IN EXCELLENT CONDITION WITH ONLY SOME MINOR DINGS TO THE POLYCHROMING POLYCHROME WHICH IS ORIGINAL AND IN GOOD CONDITION , WITH A NICE WARM AGE COLORING. A few words in advance: My family and i are from Germany and collect sacred art in the third generation. It’s probably meant exactly for that and i can’t think of a better purpose than this. The Elsinor Set was introduced in 1961 and retired in 1984. It was reintroduced in 1994 for a couple month. These new sets had been clearly marked as ANRI, which the Set i do offer is not, so we can be quite sure thats its one from the first ones. It comes without a box but with a game board, which is in a good condition as well. A must have for any Collector. Details about it: Dimensions King: 4″ in H / 10 cm H Dimensions Board: 21×21″ in / 52×52 cm Weight: 3.6 kg Materials and Technique: the figurines are full round sculptural hand carved out of the finest teak and maple wood. If it is the original board its made of teak and maple too. Characteristic features: very detailed and fine ANRI carving Technique used surface: stained and or waxed by hand Place of Origin: made in Southern Tyrol in Italy Date of Manufacture: Between 1961 and 1984 Condition: It is in a very good condition considering its age. Here is a large antique. Carved German Black Forest cuckoo clock in excellent running condition. Complete, with good bellows and excellent action of the cuckoo as shown in video. Unusually large and heavy weights power cast brass movement with good cuckoo action. Measures 18 tall, plus weights and pendulum. Very nice finish on finely detailed carvings, heavy brass chains, original Phillip Haas & Son set up label, and nicely painted cuckoo bird with jointed wings all make this a fine collectors clock. Missing minute hand but otherwise complete. Ready to hang on wall and enjoy. With mild age related wear. Please note: this clock has continued running but the cuckoo has stopped for some reason. Now it only comes out when the hands are advanced. This may be a simple adjustment or two.
