Antique Art Nouveau Patinated Bronze Desk Clock with Woman Figure c. The body of the clock is decorated with floral motifs designed in very special Art Nouveau manner. These so-called “whiplash” elements were the most exclusive and typical Art Nouveau characteristics. The main part of decoration, however, i s a beatifully scupltured figure of a woman with free-flowing hair and dress. Very elegant and stylish work of art! The clock is made of solid cast bronze and patinated to a beautiful color. The body is in a very good shape with only minimal wear and no damage. Clock is housed in a metal canister set into opening having a porcelain dial. The body is marked on base at rear: “F7″ and “1159” – I don’t know how to interpret these marks. The mechanizm is not functional – I don’t know if it just requires cleaning or else. Please note – this is not a replica or fake – the is the real object from 1900 – 1910. I guarantee my dating.
