Antique Chinese Chest Fabulous Asian Box Handpainted Collectible

This is a beautiful Chest. Wood covered in (appears to be) leather and lacquer painted. The leather has some wear and tear and some scratches and scuffs. It’s very heavy and sturdy, well put together. Black with gold and black Auspicious designs. The are Birds on the top. The Tea pot/cup and flowers in vase on the front. It has brass hardware – a hinged lock on the front which includes the key like locking mechanism. Handles on the ends with little brass bumpers. The back hinge is not visible but there are sturdy side slide hinges (rarely found in these chests). The interior is covered in Chinese characters (writing) and drawings. The lid fits over a recess and raised internal box. Measures approximately 12.25″ wide x 7″long x 7.5high. Please see pictures for more details and condition (used but still in good condition). Comes from a pet free, smoke free home.

Virgin Mary metal plaque, 2 1/4″ by 1 1/2″, made in Italy, raised graphic. German Bronze necklace, Jesus and Zacchaeus at the Sycamore Tree, very unique. Chain may have been added to pendant. 2 3/4 by 2 3/4. Raised inscription on back. Made in France medal, stating one of the promises Jesus made to St. Bronze Jesus metal piece. Possibly was once positioned on alabaster. Signed on the bottom left LM, 1 3/4.

Very nice sturdy unused condition. 11.5 x 9 x 2 with 15 pages, last two are for two 3.5 x 2.5 pictures each. Green velvet with gold metal on cover and silver metal clasp. Appears piece the clasp went around is gone.. Has wear to cover as shown and last 2 pages have small tears.

Antique blue oval lens glasses. These have a very fine wire framework. I was informed they are possibly late Georgian/early victorian. They come in a turned wooden case. There is a slight split in the lid of the case which I have shown in the pictures, this is old as the lid is still very secure. The lens in natural light look to be a lavender blue in colour.
