These incredibly detailed hand painted porcelain tea set includes the tea pot, sugar bowl, and creamer pitcher that all feature a gorgeous matching floral design and gold gilded accents. All the pieces have very ornate Art Nouveau styled handles that attach seamlessly to the decorative 6 footed bases. The top rims feature a delicate scalloped edge and the lid for the tea pot has a unique flower shaped handle. Please note : The sugar bowl is suppose to have a lid that matches the tea pot, but it did not survive and is NOT included. The lid for the tea pot does fit on the sugar bowl, but we believe it is the lid for the tea pot due to the air hole. Each piece is marked RS Prussia on the bottom and all of our research indicates these are true genuine RS Prussia pieces made sometime in the late 1800’s. DIMENSIONS: The tea pot measures roughly 8″ wide from spout tip to outer edge of handle x 5″ deep (front to back) at the base x 6-1/2 tall including the lid. The sugar bowl measures 6″ wide from handle to handle x 4″ front to back at the base x 4 tall. The creamer pitcher measures 5″ wide from pour spout to handle x 3-3/8″ front to back at the base x 4 tall. COLOR: White porcelain with multi colored hand painted floral design and gold gilt. TYPE: Antiques, pottery, RS Prussia, Tea Set. CIRCA: Likely around the 1890’s give or take 10 years. COUNTRY: Prussia / Germany. CONDITION: This Antique Tea Set comes to you in overall excellent antique condition. As mentioned, the lid for the sugar bowl did not survive and is NOT included, however the lid on the tea pot does fit on the sugar dish as well. As you can see in the pictures, there is a small chip on the lid and a hairline crack on the sugar dish. Aside from that, this set is in overall excellent condition considering its age. The gold gilt shows very little wear. It is 90-95% complete and the hand painted areas have aged extremely well. Even the fine lines in the green shaded areas are still visible which would not be the case if this set was used or cleaned a lot.
