CASE’S Tested XX HATCHET Vintage Hunting Antique Axe Basketweave Sheath Hand Ax… This very handsome piece appearing to have had minimal use, has some scratches, a few spots of oxidation, signs of use. Etching reads CASE’S/TESTED XX. Measures approx 10 OAL. The head is about 4″x2.5″, all integral and largely shiny. The blade edge has a couple of tiny nicks. The hard wood handle is warm and comfortable, affords a secure grip. Note that when I hold it tightly and simulate a chopping motion, a very slight amount of “play” is evident/audible. It is perfectly useable, but could be annoying if used for field dressing or heavier tasks. The belt sheath is in excellent condition, having healthy leather and no remarkable damage.
