What’s the difference? We know vast majority of people dont really differentiate the two terms nowadays but there is actually a huge difference between them. The difference between restore and refurbish is that restore is to reestablish, or bring back into existence while refurbish is to rebuild or replenish with all new material. Since many people still keep asking questions about whether those items we list are repainted, with new stickers etc, we feel the need to clarify things. All items we list as restored are almost 100% originals , nothing new put on them other than oil & grease, rubber o-rings (tires), rubber / felt feet, and motor / treadle belts, depending on the model. If a part is missing or damaged and we can’t repair it, we’ll replace it with one from a donor machine of the same era. Never a newer or a new one. Those items are certainly repainted as many think, nor have we put new stickers / decals which would then label them as renovated or “refurbished”. Everything was set in the factory back then. Motor sets may have a new plug and leads but coils and internals would be vintage and serviced. Lamps will be new. Always have in mind the time to restore an item, is many times the time needed to refurbish a same one. And although it is much, much more time consuming, we prefer this approach which preserves the authenticity and history of an item rather than just making it eye appealing but strip it from it’s history and identity. Here is a recent estate find. This is a Rare Antique Working 19th C. Ingraham “Dew Drop Calendar” Round Top Short Drop Walnut Regulator School House Wall Clock, made by the E. Ingraham Clock Company USA, circa 1880. This Has a Walnut Wood Case with Round Bevelled Doors and Decorative Side Trim with Reverse Painted Glass Gold Gilt Trim Lower Tablet. This Has a Signed Ingraham 8 Day Brass Mechanical Wind-Up “Time Only” Regulator Calendar Movement. The Dial is the Original Paper Over Tin Dial Calendar Dial with Roman Numerals. The Original Ingraham Maker’s Label for this Model “Dew Drop Calendar”, is on the Back. This includes the Adjustable Heavy Brass Ornate Regulator Pendulum, and a Winding Key. This is in Overall Good Original Condition with a Great Aged Patina! The Dial has Some Discoloration From Age, Otherwise Fine. This is a Charles Carmel, c. 1910 Coney Island style carousel horse, last operated at Marshall Hall Park in Maryland. Measures 54 from nose to rump. Professionally restored twenty years ago by a preservationist at R&F Design (who was then located within the New England Carousel Museum). Restoration made to show – rather than conceal – construction of horse, with dowels and cracks where the wood was joined to be visible. The item “Authentic, Antique CHAS. 1915 Antique Military Officers Trench Watch Solid Silver Full Hunter Serviced

ANOTHER RARE AND BEAUTIFUL ANTIQUE SOLID SILVER COLLECTIBLE WATCH FROM ANTIQUETIMEONLINE! WITH ITS LOVELY DIAL THIS IS A SOUGHT AFTER 1915 SILVER TRENCH WATCH. A GREAT WATCH IN FANTASTIC ORIGINAL CONDITION! FULLY SERVICED AND READY TO WEAR! The 4 piece FULL HUNTER SCREW BACK case to this beautiful watch is solid English sterling silver. IT IS AN EXCELLENT QUALITY SILVER CASE. Would not supply them. It has a case back which screws on. The case back has 3 initials J. Which were probably the gentleman’s initials who owned the watch originally. It has, as you would expect light wear. The hunter case cover front shows lots of dings and a crease which is consumerate of’in the field’ wear. The case is fully hall marked for solid silver. The case front is sprung and is operated via a push button on the case side above on lug. This is in operating condition. The hall marks date the watch to 1915 with an Assay mark for LONDON. The solid silver lugs show no evidence of any old repairs that I can see and are in good condition. I have gently polished the case, and it is shining nicely. THE WATCH MEASURES 3.4cms (34mm) across. The inside rear of the front cover is also marked for silver. This stunning collectible watch has a nice original fantastic original white dial. You would expect for a watch of 100 years old that it would have a few hairlines, BUT this dial shows no hairlines that I can see. It has beautiful sharp and crisp Arabic numerals, which are lovely and sharp. The radio active lume that would have been present originally, has been removed for safety purposes. The dial also has a subsidiary dial which is in nice condition. The crystal in the inner bezel is brand new and as such is in minty condition. The dial has stunning blued steel’Cathedral’ hands which have lost their lume but are in very good condition. This is a beautifully finished original Swiss made crown wind and set movement. The movement is in working order and has just been FULLY SERVICED by my watchmaker. It keeps time to with a few minutes per day as tested over 24 hours. The movement has a nice compensated balance. This beautiful and rare wrist watch has a brand new black genuine leather 12mm open ended band fitted which compliments and fits this wristwatch absolutely superbly! . The watch and band measure a total of just over 8 and a half inches in total length. THIS IS A REALLY GOOD VERY COLLECTIBLE EARLY OFFICERS FULL HUNTER TRENCH WATCH. THE WATCH IS A FANTASTIC EXAMPLE OF ITS TYPE. This watch has recently been checked. Please do not waste anyones time if you are not interested. THIS IS A FANTASTIC ORIGINAL AND EXTREMELY RARE SILVER TRENCH WRISTWATCH IN EXCELLENT CONDITION. There is NO exception. I describe all of my items to the best of my knowledge. Professionally Restored Vintage Antique Rotary Telephone- Moss Green 500

500 – Moss Green. The dial is a 9C that has been fully disassembled, cleaned, lubed and timed to ensure years of trouble free service. A brand new plastic finger wheel and dial card have been added. Shell The shell has been painstakingly put through a multi-step restoration process which includes sanding with 400, 800, 1000, 2000 grit. This ensures that there are no scratches, dents or dings. The shell is them carefully buffed on our two step buffing wheels. This takes out the fine abrasions left by sanding and leaves the plastic with a smooth factory fresh finish. Finally, we hand apply a three-step plastic restoration compound. This leaves the plastic with a beautiful high gloss finish. This process can take up to 3 hours to complete, but we think it is well worth the amazing results.
